American Idol’s Crying Phenomenon, Ashley Ferl, Is America’s Sweetheart

This season’s American Idol finalists are so lackluster in charisma and talent, than a 13-year-old girl from the audience has grabbed the spotlight.

Ashley Ferl, 13, and her Mom attended a dress rehearsal of “Idol”. The producers were impressed with Ashley’s ability to cry a river of tears. They cynically seated Ashley and her Mom at a ringside seat at the final taping.

Ashley did not disappoint, she cried throughout the taping, especially when her favorite, Sanjaya Malakar, took the stage.

A sleeping cow, after it’s been tipped, makes more melodious music than Sanjaya, but 13-year-old Ashley was enraptured by his smile and long flowing locks.

Cute little Ashley is enjoying her celebrity, making the rounds of all the morning talk shows. And America has fallen in love with the adorable girl with braces.

Ashley’s tears probably saved the wretched Sanjaya from elimination, but I don’t hold a grudge against Ashley. Her display of innocence is a breath of fresh air, compared to the slutty antics of a Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan.

Ysabellabrave, a  YouTube singing sensation I recently interviewed, has the same ability to move us to tears by the strength of her honest emotions.

I wish Ysabellabrave and Ashley Ferl all the luck in the world. I hope the producers of American Idol give Ashley a lifetime pass to tapings of the popular show.

Oh no, now Ysabella is going to be the one who you mention throughout all of your essays! lol!

I have missed most of American Idol this year, and did not even know that a member of the audience had gotten so much attention! I hope the sweet little thing doesn’t grow up to be a Brittany or a Lindsay, that would break my heart! Innocence is beautiful, but it never lasts.

Cries a river of tears, you say. At the drop of a talentless pop-idle. Is there something amiss with the little Miss? Perhaps her braces are too tight.

Idol producers are just setting Sanjaya up for his “Tiger Beat” and “Seventeen” cover shoots. Any publicity is good, so they say.

    How cute. Meanwhile…
