But more surprising is how this has gotten this far. Child Support laws, rules, public opinion are way off base and few are aware of the injustices and therefore have little power. When I discuss this with any of my friends I am met with imediate opposition. No one, not even men who might likely fall prey to the same legal financial rape, are interested, no less willing to get behind the cause. We need really need to focus the energy of the few in this battle. I wish there was a single fund raiser which was geared toward a single goal to providing an account to support actions in reform. Similar to all the fund raisers that NOW has successfully launched. Bottom line though - women are very sympathetic with each other - men are not until they hit the issue. The underlying reason why NOW is successful and has been despite propogating lies and deception. It’s a surprise any of us survive this. But more surprising is how this has gotten this far.
