In this Fidelity commercial, Arnold Worldwide portrays a middle-aged black man as a clueless fool. Fortunately there is someone in the ad who is smart and can correct him–anybody have any idea who that person might be?

In Australia we have one major Telco (and some minor ones) that runs an ad for Broadband (which is as wide as a narrow country lane by the way, where it is available). It doesn’t have a woman in it!!!!!
No, but it does have a thick-shit father who looks like a neanderthal and who misleads his son at every opportunity with wild ‘information’. This causes the little boy to make a fool of himself at school. It is pitiful.

I’m just surprised they didn’t have the wife slap the husband around so along with showing how “intelligent” females are they can also show how “strong” they are too.

With so many men anesthestitized by Sports and Pornography, it is no wonder that the Corporations are aiming at women.
It still does not excuse the depiction of Man as shown.
They could show the woman being smart and building value in herself making the contacts and arrangments while the Man is in the background watching ESPN.
That makes him realistically neutral, her letting him enjoy himself and handling some business.
Wow, imagine that! Making point without someone having to lose?
Is that also why commercials aimed at women are that way, because women are not interested unless someone loses?

Thurston, you live, it seems, in one of the few places in the western world where being married or living in sin isn’t seen as the same condition. In the UK and Australia, living together, even a man and a woman living in the same house, means she can take him to the cleaners at any moment.
There was a case here last year of a house-owner being kicked out of his home by the cops on a complaint by a woman who rented a room. They had had a row over her not paying her rent for several weeks. He was charged with ‘domestic abuse’.

I had some woman tell that her son put his house, car and boat in his parent’s name as he is shacking up with a privileged princess and wondered she why he was so cynical.
She answered that question herself when she said ” he felt his relationship with this one will not last and he does want to loose everything”.

WoW! Mom not on the side of otehr Female.
But Mom’s can be that way.
That’s what Trusts are for. Screw the PRenup which can be pierced, Mom and Dad put it in a trust and it was never his to be placed in and pieced by the Elizabether Rule.
