To Hell with the Kids–We Want Those Legal Fees

I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that this ad is from an all-female law firm. If a group of male attorneys put up a billboard saying [in effect] “See all the gorgeous women out there? Divorce your wife and desert your kids and go get one” there’d be enormous criticism.

I’m happy to say that despite the gender breakdown, this firm is also feeling the heat.

we now live in a society where no-fault divorce is part of the institution…

I know a telephone lineman who worked hard all his life to pay off a mortgage, and put his wife through graduate school. Then went through a divorce and lost it all to her, and all he has left is a worn-out body from the hard labor, and now can’t even pay his medical bills..

She on the other hand works 25 hours a week teaching classes at a college, is in great health, and lives in the house he paid for..

Basically she worked him like a mule..then disregarded him when she was through..

Well yes, scottkirk, it’s called no-fault divorce. Reagan made no-fault divorce a reality. If you think about it, it’s a mature man or woman who knows their relationship has ended whenever either party says its ended. But, I hear plenty of miss-guided adults from the great-duped-society criticize it. They want the guv’mint to force people to stay married. That’s tyranny for ya.

I’m for freedom myself. First, you kill all the lawyers.

someone who’s familliar with legal jargon should draft a bill to somehow regulate this lawyer fueled divorce industry an circulate it on the net…

Its got to happen sooner or later…..

What they don’t say is that that cuts off child support from the biological father, which I guess makes it in this respect something to be grateful for.”

Pitch that tomfoolery elsewhere. You know it isn’t true and so does everybody else reading it here.

If you want to subvert you’ll have to do a lot better than that, and I frankly don’t think you are clever enough.

history class will reflect on this period; as that which men worshipped women to such a degree that they in effect abandonded the welfare of their most vulnerable citizens…..their own children..

Why is there a woman’s body on there? Are they stating that you should take on a female OR male new lover?

I desire to be clearer. The divorce industry in America is endorsed and subsidized by its local, state, and federal government.

Go to your local county court house to see and hear for yourself Mondays through Wednesdays 9AM to 11AM. Sit closest to the bench to best hear the conversation. It’s free and you do not need an invitation or appointment.

Lawyers are essentially small business owners. The rent office; hire a girl Friday; purchase a few computers, then seek revenue. Work without guaranteed results is paid at $100 to $450 per hour with an up-front retainer of $500 to $10,000. Do not expect to get that retainer back even if little work was done.

The judge is paid a salary of between $125,000 and $180,000 yearly. There salary is mostly determinied by case load.

According to maritalstatus.com, a Web site geared toward divorce and remarriage, divorce is a $28 billion-a-year industry with an average cost of about $20,000.

The woman partners of this divorce law firm in Chicago stated last week that they intend to continue this campaign.

It has been in the news covered by Fox’s “The Ten”. Send your comments, if any, to theten@foxchicago.com.

Divorce is big business. In this government sponsored industry, men are ordered to give up wife, children, property, eighteen years of income, and liberties.

You have to give these lawyer chicks some credit for the honesty of the ad. The divorce industry is like any other. It’s all about the money.

It’s the other lawyers that have a problem with the ad. To much truth in it for them. The ad is a warning to the legal scam that divorce has become.
They want to keep that part a secret so the suckers keep signing those marriage contracts and the dumpers keep filing. Keeps the money coming in.

wls1 said: “This is old stuff for feminists: what they usually say is never hesitate to divorce because of the kids; if they worry you you can have joint custody, however rest assured no judge will ever force that on you, and you can opt-out at any time.”

Cognitive dissonance at its finest. Nice try.

If worry then you not, would be judge then go assured divorce. But, only if right you can and then know sure for, family court on your side is.

And here is another fine insight for the astute of mind courtesy of Lewis Carroll: `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe…’

    Jabberwocky, my friend. Jabberwocky.
