Left Just Likes To Be Mad, No Reason Needed
This story proves once again that the left doesn’t need justification, logic or reality to get a good mad on. They don’t need anything real or important to swarm upon like a hive of unthinking insects, infesting and killing a host, they just need one of their own to head off in that direction so that they can all follow, lemming-like, over that cliff.
The latest cause celebre erupted when Congressman Ted Poe (R, Texas) used a quote from a one time Confederate General in a speech on the floor of Congress. It wasn’t just any Confederate General, though, it was a quote from founder of the KKK, Nathan Bedford Forrest, CS Cavalry General in the war’s western theater.
Ooooo. The KKK founder, huh? Sounds ominous. So, what was the quote? Was it one calling blacks a bad name? Was it one dealing with race relations? Was it anything like that?
No. It was a military quote.
Forrest is famous for once saying that war is won by “who gets thar firstest with the mostest.” It is probably an apocryphal comment, but the principle is exactly the way General Forrest conducted his version of warfare with highly effective results. And it is a sensible colloquialism to say the least.
So what did the whack jobs in the Nutroots do? Why they whipped up a frenzy because Poe quoted Forrest even though it had nothing to do with Forrest’s more notorious actions.
Poe’s spokesman explained the context of the quote.
“Congressman Poe’s speech was about the troops, about funding the troops (and) about Congress paying attention to the needs of the troops,” Dunaway Thigpen said. “His speech was on supporting the troops. His quote (of Forrest) was based on military strategy.”
But, that didn’t satisfy the left. They wanted Poe’s head on a platter. It culminated in a mention on a segment where loud mouth Keith Olbermann claims to identify the “worst” person of the week on his low rated MSNBC blabber show, Countdown.
Badly garbling history, Olberman slobbered:
“See, Bedford Forrest is kind of a problem. He was called a guerrilla leader. In retrospect, many of his military actions were reminiscent of terrorism. And, oh, by the way, after the war, he became the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.”
This guy is clueless. Forrest was not a “guerrilla leader”. He was an official and duly ranked general in the Confederate Army. And none of his military campaigns were “reminiscent of terrorism”. Further his life as the creator of the KKK is not as axiomatic as it seems merely by the saying of it.
Forrest originally started the KKK as an organization to support the repatriation of Southern White’s political standing in the south. It was NOT founded to be a racist, hate organization. And, when it turned increasingly violent against the south’s black population, Forrest not only quit the group but he began to work against it.
In his later years he even worked hard to restore racial harmony to his south and worked to support blacks advancement, but with little success. Yet, with enough success to be excoriated by his former friends in the hate group he founded.
Still, Olbermann’s idiocy is immaterial to the point Poe was making. Congressman Poe was not favorably commenting on the KKK or race relations in any way. He was simply using an historical, military reference, one quite free of any controversial position on any subject, to illuminate today’s military discussion.
Poe has nothing to apologize for at all.
And the nutroots prove once again that logic and sense is beyond their grasp.

Founding something that goes horribly wrong should not defame a man or anyone who quotes him.
Refusing to do anything about the evil he unwittingly helped release is what should be his infamy.
If your testimony is true then, William Bedford Forest is not an infamous man, for he fought against a beast gone wild that he opened the door to.
For that he deserves Honor, n the eyes of all Men and Women of all color.
Now David Usher’s grandmother on the other hand is an infamous Suffragists, as the Suffragists opened the door to the evil of the Sangerites and Feminists of the WKKK, (which David historically admits that they knew at the time of their activity to exist and be seeking POWER,) to come in and destroy their own homes and kill the family, as even David admits that they promptly disbanded after winning the 19th Amendment , to do nothing while these Hedonistic whores wiped us all out.
The Suffragists were pawns and useful tools to window dress disaster in the making.
Is David making recompense in his work to correct that transgression and treason of his family?
Or does the fruit not fall far from the tree?
History being the teacher, the first battle for independence was at the Battle of Alamance, fought by the Regulator Movement, and their decedents being the First Free White People in the World under the Watauga Association (Recognized as free by the Crown without a single gunshot) included Four cousins, Sevier, Crockett, Houston, and Austin…the question begs careful consideration.
Events have fallen into my lap here. Judge Poe attacked just in time for this.
The telling answer of Mr. Usher’s true purpose (not intent, but purpose for his grandmother was a stool pigeon for the Marxists in getting reactionary silly women the vote) is revealed by the answer to my question regarding Our Rights as Fathers being lost due to seeking Court enforcement of our Ancient and Natural Rights or lost because the Government is using the Marriage License as an adhesion contract?
How is that you ask?
Well here it is, Mr. Usher claims to be pro-marriage.
If the Marriage license is seen by the Lawyer class as the means to plunder and destroy Families, then defending the Statist Marriage License program is Treason against the Rights of Man that the State was supposed to be protecting, and not hindering our Pursuit of Happiness as England did our Founders.
To then defend Statist Marriage is to be a Tory who seeks to promote misery of all at the gain of the few Entitled.
We then have absolutely no business supporting the future destruction of our Brothers and Sisters of our Nation and the victimization and misery of their children. G-D can never honor that.
It must then end.
Or we specifically define what Marriage is, and it will not be a piece of paper, nor will it entitle the State to the Children or criminalize being a Father.
Either way, it must cease to be seen and marketed as legitimate and worthy of our time, blood, and allegiance in its present form.
If on the other hand it is the Courts that are twisting the law to the Point that it is the Courts alone that are corrupted, then the Battle is against the Laws, the Lawyers, and the Judges that all violate the Limitations of the Constitution, have trampled the Rights of Man, and have declared War on the Family and Fathers.
In that case the real enemy is identified.
Even that scenario renders the License (permission of the State) as their instrument of War against Righteousness and all that is wholesome (Fathers, Mothers, Children living together seeking harmony), and we Men must lead the charge in the realization that the Public Policy is DESTRUCTION of the Happiness of Women who have the innate drive to procreate, to have children, to have belonging and family. They cannot deny their SELVES, and when they are they are trapped in diseased thought.
This makes us Men the true Feminists. The true people who care about what women want when they are not confused by Materialism and silly Feminists (as I read in a recent article sent to MLS written by a Feminist).
We love Feminists, just not their diseased thought.
As for Mr. Usher, he is good about helping us dodge the bullets and see the weapons of lies and laws being created to destroy Families, but without an answer to the issue of the legal justification of the Courts, which is realistically only one answer they are committing Treason constructively with the Marriage License, or directly by Socialist sophistry like used by the US Supreme Court in Buck v. Bell to justify sterilization of Wards of the State, there is no reason to even attempt forward movement to save or preserve marriage in its present form under Public Policy.
Thus it must be redefined one couple at a time.
