Woody Allen, Bill Clinton, and double standards

To the editor:
There are two major ironies Carol Ianonne did not note in her article about Woody Allen. One is that Mia Farrow had once been herself “fresher fare” to an older man, Andre Previn, which precipitated his wife’s nervous breakdown.

The other is that so many women who have been reluctant to forgive the filmmaker for his misconduct seem positively eager to forgive President Clinton for sins that are at least as vile and made more so by the latter’s hypocritical pose as a champion for women.

Would you back this up, S Baker. “I think Woody has a bit of a pedophilic leaning “. Condemning with innuendo and hint is poor form.

I think Woody has a bit of a pedophilic leaning while Bill is clearly a sexual predator.

Wasn’t it Mia Farrow who made a false allegation of sexual abuse against Woody Allen after he was seen sitting in bed with his little lad, reading to him? She as never charged with perjury of course, but what a role model for her peers.

Right.

Man up.
