Hillary Clinton Exposed In Two New Books

Bill and Hillary Clinton’s tenure in the White House, from 1993 to 2001, was marked by many significant accomplishments.

Major Legislation Signed (From Wikipedia):

1993-02-05 – The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993
1993-08-10 – Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 – Raised income tax rates; income tax, top rate: 39.6%; corporate tax: 35%
1993-09-21 – creation of the AmeriCorps volunteer program
1993-11-30 – Brady Bill
1994-09-13 – Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, part of an omnibus crime bill, the federal death penalty was expanded to some 60 different offenses (see Federal assault weapons ban)
1996-02-26 – Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act, a welfare reform bill
1996-08-20 – Minimum wage Increase Act

But the Clinton presidency wasn’t a Camelot where Bill felt everyone’s pain; Slick Willy’s personal indiscretions caused plenty of pain for his wife, family and country.

It’s now 2007 and it looks like the Hillary and Bill Clinton team has an excellent chance of reoccupying the White House in 2008.

Hillary has more baggage than a major airline; I’m in no mood for a deja vu all over again.

Do we really need any more bimbo eruptions and Lincoln bedroom shenanigans? Is it a wise thing to turn the presidency into a family business? After 20 years of a Bush or a Clinton in the White House, can we survive four or eight more years of a Clinton in power? Can you imagine how much trouble First Gentleman Bill Clinton can get into? There isn’t enough saltpeter in the world to make Bill behave.

Two new books about Hillary Clinton remind us why electing Hillary president is not a good idea.

From http://news.independent.co.uk:

“It had to happen, and it has. Once again the great drama of the Clinton marriage – from his philandering and “bimbo eruptions” and her contemplation of divorce, to an alleged joint secret scheme to turn the US presidency into a family business – is back in the headlines, with repercussions as yet unknown for the future of Hillary’s bid to become the first woman to win the White House.

The culprits are two books about the New York senator and front runner for the Democrats’ 2008 nomination. Weighing in at more than 1,000 pages between them, they are due to hit US bookstores in early June, with every prospect of becoming instant summer best-sellers.

The Hillary Clinton that emerges is essentially the person visible right now on the campaign trail. She is an impressive but rather unlovable figure. She comes across as clever, calculating and ambitious, well organised and ferociously disciplined – the very qualities that make her one of the most polarising politicians in the country.”

I have no intentions of voting for Hillary and I don’t need to read any more books to remind me how evil she is, but if you are considering voting for her, please read these books:

A Woman in Charge: The Life of Hillary Rodham by Carl Bernstein

Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton by Don Van Natta and Jeff Gerth

As Rupert Cornwell of “The Independent” notes: You can’t blame the vast right wing conspiracy for these two tomes, Bernstein is a noted liberal and Natta and Gerth are New York Times reporters.
