No 50,000 word round up of the footy and cricket to finish the speech off. I don't know how other people's TV News and newspapers do things but over here a half-hour news program is 10 minutes of disasters and political slanging, 5 minutes of adverts and 15 minutes of friggin' sports. The newspapers are 40% adverts, 20% 'news' & views and 40% sports. Impact? Read emotion, mendacity, irrationality, lies. Stock in trade of the soft-Marxism that Blair has presided over. Isvestia and Pravda rule. No News in the Truth; no Truth in the News. Just give'em the footy scores and lots of photos. Astonishing.
