Added to it is the fact that a drug cannot be obtained without a prescription makes it mandatory to visit a doctor and pay a huge fees to get the treatment(an average general practitioner doctors fees is about 150 dollars here in NJ and when I go through the insurance co, I pay my co pay of 15 dollars and the insurance co pays him about 65 thereby bringing the total to $80). If instead of $150 or even $80, it were something like $25 or $30, things would be a lot better. If the doctors could remove some overheads like 3 girls in their office each being paid $3000 a month to fill the insurance claims and receptionist etc, they can make a pretty decent living even at a charge of $30 per visit. And since 9 of the top 10 paying jobs in America is in the medical field and general practitioners come in that 9, I find it difficult to muster any sympathy for them. And if it were not mandatory to get a prescription to get a drug, quite a lot of people would save a bomb just by self medication for some simple ailments.

Having Your “Fix” And Eating It Too
So, Miss Hillary and Miss Barbara are tired of that right wing radio and are thinking about how to legislatively "fix" the problem. Okay, their staffers are now saying that conversation never happened and we all know Mrs. Clinton doesn't lie to the help.
It seems the progressive left not only wants to muffle talk radio, but boost their own voices and not have to worry that no one wants to pay for their "product."
On the Friday June 22nd Democracy Now! television program, hostess Amy Goodman interviewed Hannah Sassaman of the Prometheus Radio Project, which she hopes will help small, low-powered radio stations in urban areas spring up, and get "information" out to the community. Sounds like a good idea on its face, but when you consider what Clinton and Boxer have planned for profitable talk radio programming, one need examine what Ms. Sassaman and Prometheus really have up their sleeves. Hannah Sassaman actually said When this station was broadcasting about the storm, local volunteers swam across the floodwaters with batteries strapped to their back to keep the station on the air.?????
I sure would love to talk to these people. What were they carrying – boxes of double A’s? Maybe, just maybe a few car batteries could keep a very small station on the air a while, but I’m having trouble picturing someone with a few of these strapped to their back swimming across floodwaters.
Liberals just can’t understand this basic fact – if you’re going to make up lies so you have something heroic to say, why not make up something believable? I’m guessing Sassaman and Goodman are just too stupid to recognize the difference.
Oh, Vicar – thanks for showing us a better way to arrange the deck chairs.
