As a basis for the International Marriage broker Regulation Act NGO’s (falsely) “manufactured” a problem using cooked statistics and exaggerating abuse statistics of International marriages. This appealed to the good nature of the politicians and public who rewarded the NGO’s with huge Federal grants for their continued good work to protect foreign women supposedly being abused in epidemic proportions. ( An INS study revealed the exact opposite conclusion …abuse rate of International marriages was in fact miniscule).

Oh I can hear the feminist cronies from the NOW saying that “if IMBRA only protects one women it will be worth it”. But where were these radical American feminists when 50,000 Russian / Ukrainian women were murdered by their intimate partner (Russian and Ukrainian men) over the last 13 years? The silence is deafening.

Yet there has never been a Russian or Ukrainian woman killed at the initial stage of a matchmaking relationship by an American man. Yet the American feminists are demanding that Russian and Ukrainian women need protection from American men and a background clearance just to COMMUNICATE. The International Marriage Broker Regulation Act is a scam and American taxpayers are paying for the fraud.

Dave, I have one additional comment. You mentioned that only 5 cases reported by the police at the World Cup. It was my understanding that all 5 of those women came from European Union countries which meant they came freely by their own will and obviously were not trafficked. Therefore of the 40,000 initially estimated trafficking victims the truth reveals the real number of women trafficked was a big fat ZER0.
