What We Can Change and How

Expending effort on matters that we can do something about produces a return on our investment of time, talent, and treasure; whereas, expending effort on matters we can do nothing about wastes our energy and causes frustration. Unfortunately, all of us to some degree expend energy on matters that we have no control or influence over. We have little influence concerning the price of oil, unrest in the Middle East, or nuclear treaties, but we can do a lot about the care of our families. Yet we avidly watch, read, and listen to the media for information on all sorts of international and national situations about which we can do nothing.

However, on matters such as the education of our children and the health and safety of our families we tend to remain passive. For example, how have we responded to the ban on religious displays and on prayer in schools? As a God fearing people, why do we tolerate this? A ban exists on single sex education for men, on the filing of “head of household” tax returns for married men, on men having authority over their families, and on men’s clubs. These conditions attack the very basis of human and universal existence. Family and spiritual growth are the reason that we are here. If family and the worship of God are taken from us, what do we have left? Yet we do nothing.

We do nothing because we have already been conditioned to rely upon the government to make change. We have forfeited our manhood to the State. We no longer live the lives that God ordained us to live. We have become passive production workers; jackasses and she-asses on the treadmill of production. Whatever the State decides to teach our children we accept. We also accept the propaganda that the government feeds to our women. We consider ourselves to be good husbands by going to work and earning enough money to support our families-a thoroughly Westernized way of life not intended for man to live. Man is here to promote the spiritual well being of society, and teach the family and the tribe morals and ethics. The State not only cannot do these things, it does not want us to do these things.

The question that then arises is, “What can we do?” a frequently asked question that is sometimes asked passively, sometimes aggressively, and sometimes curiously, that usually pertains to a condition needing change.

In the case of the education of our children the first thing that we can do is find out just what kind of an education they are receiving. We all tend to have a certain level of trust in the school system and in the behavior of our own children, so when the average father leaves for work in the morning after giving his wife a kiss and patting his children on the head, he goes to work confident that he is doing his job and that all is well with the family. This confidence may not be warranted.

In a May 2002 issue of US NEWS and World Report, the cover story was dedicated to teenage sex. I was shocked to learn that there are14 year old teenage virgins who are well experienced in oral and anal sex. I probably would not have been shocked had I known that sex education classes given to 4th and 6th graders teach the safest ways to have oral sex. They are also being taught alternate sexual lifestyles such as homosexuality. Are your children being taught similar subjects? Do you know for sure?

The next thing to do is to meet with all your children and ask them if they have sex education classes and if so, what these classes cover. Ask to see their textbooks and read them. If what you find is shocking, disturbing, or objectionable, there are further steps that you can take. You can set up an appointment to meet with the teacher. Before that, you might want to speak to the parents of your children’s classmates to see if they are aware of the situation, how they feel about it, and if they want to join you in a visit with their teacher or the school principal or the school board.

The above paragraph describes actions that once would have produced results; these same actions taken today would probably result in being ignored and/or laughed out of the school. When Mayor Bloomberg had city workers distribute 2.6 million condoms to New York City schoolchildren the protests of Cardinal Evans were all but ignored.

Activity necessary to cause effective change must be done on what I call a secular level; people of all faiths, ethnicities, and races working together to overcome the effects of the neo-pagans who attack the very foundation of human existence. There is no organization with teeth in it that expresses you interests. None.

Men’s Action was designed to be the vehicle to bring about the change we all want, but it requires active participation and support. Are you ready to become that active supportive person? Or are you content to have your children learn how to have safe oral sex?

I'm also the Chief of Men's Action to Rebuild Society, an organization that not only addresses the issues confronting you, but takes action to resolve these issues. | More from Elder George

what can be done in the immediate…

men’s only option in leau of open rebellion is to simply raise awareness of the issues that are driving men/fathers/boys to the edge..

Broach the conversation with a co-worker, an old school buddy, the neighbor you see in the store..ect. ect..

I’ve now developed around 50 people that know I’m a mens rights activist…It feel good, and they have respected and even admired my boldness..

The easiest way to broach a conversation to the effect youre a mens rights activist is to ask them..(I hand out little wallet size cards that say)..

Scott it is a start, and we wil converts one at a time. There is an interesting book called The Tipping Point, and while it is directed to sales efforts etc. and how concepts reach critical mass then sort of yeast like spread throughout the land, the subject matter is relevant to MRM promoters.

conserve…My next plan.. (If i feel a surge of courage) is to ask these 5 homeless men here in town to walk down the main streets all day holding huge signs that say…
