Added to that, the disrespected status of veterans from that war at the time and a sinking national economy, it was probably easy to recruit psychopaths. The torture, mutilation and murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom by convicted violent-criminal black ex-cons – in my heart – I believe was not motivated by racial hatred. There’s enough to fear out there as it is without suspecting our friends, neighbors, Americans and fellow human beings of trying to kill each other.
