First, I want to commend you for continuing to post.

Usually your excellent essays receive fewer "atta-boys" (replies) than anything remotely concerning domestic access to real or symbolic vaginas. (We American men have our priorities! Foreign affairs? Well only in a James Bond movie...) ;-)

I have been interested in Zimbabwe for the past almost 30 years, because I was at Tuff Gong studios in Kingston Jamaica when Mr. Marley recorded that fabled song.

Actually, some of the master recording 1/4" analog audio tape that I smuggled into the island was used in that recording!

The reggae musicians in that era loved and hated JA's PM Michael Manley ... too many taxes on the tools of their trade, hard to get musical supplies.

From what I've read, Zimbabwe is now under very "heavy manners."

People acting out of fear.

Criminals acting out of confidence that people are afraid, yes?

Mugabe has a very short time left.

One would logically assume that when the sky soon falls, the President will be quickly on an airplane for a sanctuary, right?

It is not unreasonable to ask -- after Mugabe, what for Zimbabwe?

Again, thank you very much for connecting with Mike LaSalle's little tea party hereabouts.

You never know who will turn up....
