The US is becoming soft and weak because of liberals. All liberals.

I am concerned because of this we as a country are in decline and are setting ourselves up for a fall.

The liberals and their socialist brothers and sisters call this "social progressive change."

Boy, you guys!

I think it was Tonysprout who said it best "pussifists". We, in my humble opinion having served in multiple branches of the services have been feminized. Period. (No pun intended)

Those who demanded the most tolerance are now the most intolerant. And that's the feminists. And Al Sharpten and Jesse "Shake down" Jackson.

What great debates about issues are there absent this site and a few others? The news is now reported by a man hating idiot who comes from a gynocentric tv channel. The artcile ran by AOL on her yesterday reported she slapped a producer who put the word"sputum" in her on air report. Not a blink. Ole Brian woulda hit some obese fat slob broad there would have been fainting all over this country. They would of dragged him from the anchor chair buy his privates.

Then the comments, literally thousands of them on Couric stated from the obvious female commentators (via their names) that it's "men's" fault Couric scores low on the polls. Seems we gents don't want a woman on the nightly news. "You go Grrrr".

Go where? She stinks.

So, yes we are through. I agree this is no way to fight a war. We just piss EVERYONE off in the meantime including ourselves. But, the feminists have taken over and we'd all just better toe the line.

Thom,
I have no doubt we WILL NOT nuke anybody regardless of who gets nukes. But I do believe Isreal WILL nuke Iran at the hint they are close. Then then UN and the whole planet will condemn them again. I also concur that Bagdad should have resembled a smoking pile of ruins before we rolled in. Iran may shortly be the biggest exporter of windows and lightbulbs.

I actually do wonder if we'll respond with nuclear weapons once they successfully nuke Israel. I'd bet money against it, but I'm definitely wondering.

As to the article itself, I concur. I'm surprised Baghdad wasn't leveled as we went in to make sure none of the Republican guard got away.

Warner wrote: "We must realize that our cause is just. Islamofascism is a threat to all mankind, not just the USA. It threatens to sweep over everything in its path and it is not a force geographically isolated, but one with a presence the globe over. And to fight this terror timidly will be the death of us yet."

The only solution is to nuke Iran now, before they get nukes.

Barkingdog...that quote was from Admiral Yohohama..."I fear all we done is awaken a sleeping giant." Ahh I miss the days of fighting wars to win. One of the best speeches I've read was from Pericles. I need to re-read it so I don't screw it up. But man it's a good one. I liked Churchills too "... we shall fight in the hills, we shall never surrender!" I believe it was the speech at Dunkurk. Being in the military I constantly see how the media and liberals attempt to tie our hands in war. However, there are still some Officers and NCO's that actually take care of their troops by letting them defend themselves and consquences be damned. I do miss the embedded reporters though...they occasional stopped a bullet so an actually soldier didn't catch it. See the media is good for something :) Todd great post. War is an ugly thing. In war people die. Hell, in 5 years of fighting we still haven't reached our losses from Normandy or half the other major battles in history. In fact, I bet more people were murdered in the good old USA than killed in Iraq during the same time frame. Anyway, starting to ramble so thanks again for the post.

Pacifists? Nay, I think pussifists, for America has been feminized to the point where we are supposed to feel bad for an enemy's demise.
Even the great Sergeant York, a pacifist at heart, realized that there is a time to kill; that war is needed, if for nothing else, than to stop the killing.
Ya'll play nice with your littlwe wars and make sure no one gets hurt, hear now?
Damn it; once war has been declared, The People need to get the hell out the way and let the military do what they do best. This crap of killing your fellow man in a civil way only gives the enemy more leeway. Anyone here think the muslim extremeists are worried about what the world thinks of their murdering?

Amen, well said. But try telling that to Cindy Sheehan and her ilk. To me the scariest thing about Sheehan is that so many people actually listen to her with a straight face. No one ever asks (it's not allowed) WHY her son joined up and went to war. And what about the boy's father? Is he alive? Do you ever see him interviewed on the national networks? Does anyone have any links to interviews with him? Please provide if you do.

We have indeed become a nation of pacifists, and it may lead to our end. But the roots of pacifism in the U.S. go back well before Vietnam. We were very late getting into WWII -- only after 2,400 Americans died at Pearl Harbor (fewer than on 911) did we overcome our pacifist leanings. Going further back, we were also late getting into WWI. To misquote the famous Japanese admiral (which one?), you don't want to "awaken the sleeping giant," because when you do, he can be one mean SOB. But these days the giant seems to have taken an overdose of Ambien.
