But in America, normal things like flu or small illnesses cost a bomb to treat. Added to it is the fact that a drug cannot be obtained without a prescription makes it mandatory to visit a doctor and pay a huge fees to get the treatment(an average general practitioner doctors fees is about 150 dollars here in NJ and when I go through the insurance co, I pay my co pay of 15 dollars and the insurance co pays him about 65 thereby bringing the total to $80). If instead of $150 or even $80, it were something like $25 or $30, things would be a lot better. If the doctors could remove some overheads like 3 girls in their office each being paid $3000 a month to fill the insurance claims and receptionist etc, they can make a pretty decent living even at a charge of $30 per visit. And since 9 of the top 10 paying jobs in America is in the medical field and general practitioners come in that 9, I find it difficult to muster any sympathy for them. And if it were not mandatory to get a prescription to get a drug, quite a lot of people would save a bomb just by self medication for some simple ailments.

Evolutionary biology labs at University of Colorado threatened

On Friday, anonymous threats were sent to the evolutionary biology labs at the University of Colorado at Boulder by email and workers returned to their labs Monday morning to find threatening messages slipped under their doors. The threats mention a group affiliated with creationism, but police did not release the name of the group as it is still investigating if the threats were sent by them.
Currently, the University of Colorado police are not providing further details as they investigate the threats. Police have in the meantime increased patrols around the campus and threatened buildings.
Although the United States has had vigorous debate over the Creation-evolution controversy until now there have been no serious violent incidents, aside from an attack on Paul Mirecki, a professor at the University of Kansas, in 2005.
