ROFL… Those guys and their nervous laughter and “neutral” jokes are what made this one such an enjoyment to hear.

Why do people like this have such a powerful inclination to seek out a false compromise? Between guilt and innocence — conviction and exoneration — is guilt? Does that idiot not realize that criminal defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty by plea or verdict? Somehow he likens this basic constitutional principle to coarseness and insensitivity to rape victims. Presumption of innocence on the accused, and burden of proof on the accuser — this is an insensitive concept?

What part of the Soviet Union did these fools get their values from?

The ignorance among men as to how the law actually works is astounding.

  • scottkirk

feminist social control will not allow a mens educational sesion!!

Were all suppossed to be held in the dark, just waiting for our turn at the chopping block!!

    Scottkirk,

You cannot and must not blame women for men’s ignorance, naivete, and CHOICE to remain in the dark. Feminists do NOT control men. Men control themselves.

Men must stop acting like victims and take control of their own lives. That’s what my books and articles are all about. What you heard in my radio interview here is men refusing to learn the truth. How are women to blame for this? These morons were rejecting the message and shooting the messenger. This pathetic attitude is why men continue to lose rights.

  • DadWith2Girls

Interesting theory Marc — “Men control themselves.”

You are almost giving away the perfect Freudian alibi for feminists to exploit.

Or perhaps describing the exit ramp for the ideal MRA ideology?

Where is the EVIDENCE of men controlling themselves?

In war, politics, daily animal life… pick a pull-down menu?

    And, control = power, right?

Most men are not powerful, though feminists love the Evil Patriarchy scheme that assumes ALL men are powerful, by virtue of … (look up Freud.)

You are theoretically playing right into the feminists’ game.

Men control themselves = MEN ARE IN CONTROL?

What a gift to Kim Gandy @ N.O.W.!

So, Marc, here’s the essential question -

If “men control themselves,” why did VAWA 2005-2010 pass UNANIMOUSLY in our male-dominated, boys-controlling-themselves Congress?

More to the actual point, in your world view, can a man ever be “in control” if he has none?

The feminist argument is precisely that men CANNOT CONTROL THEMSELVES.

Hence the Nanny State. (This all goes way back to cave days … women and children cowering in the feeble fire, men trying to collect wood and meat if only the saber-toothed tiger would take a vacation….)

There is no evidence in your comments, that’s for sure.

VAWA and most everything else that has been passed by male dominated legislatures at the expense of men to get the female vote happened because men sat back and said and did nothing. Marc represents a very small percentage of men who do not sit back and do nothing. A better question to ask is: Where the hell have all the men been the last 40+ years while this all happened step by step? What on earth is wrong with American men that they will not and cannot confront women and especially the many male pols who pass all this misandrous legislation? Time for EVERY MAN to look in the mirror and ask what they have done or not done to allow this to happen for so long?

That’s the whole point… Men in elected office did not dare oppose VAWA, because they were scared for their political futures. They were scared. I know one person who lobbied Congress at the time of the VAWA reauthorization, and he met with one Congressman whose wife actually was quite abusive on many levels. He wanted to oppose VAWA, in fact he hated it. But he was also aware of the way the media in his district and nationally would tear him down if he opposed it. He’s right, it’s true that he would be mercilessly attacked. If men in his district spoke up in his defense (enough men), he would have a foundation to stand on even if his position was unpopular with a large portion of the electorate. But as it is now, he was scared, because men in his district are scared (indeed all over the country they are scared) of upsetting women.

The point is that the battle is in the mind. If men were in control of their emotions, and stood up to women (in dating, in the home, in family life, in the courts, in the bedroom, in the halls of political power), there would indeed be more opposition to VAWA. As it is now, we have to operate under the radar and get piecemeal changes made, until a consensus is formed about the need to recognize male victims of domestic violence (or just male victims of a draconian law that encourages false allegations of domestic violence).

The control first needs to come from within: control of one’s own mind. Teach men to overcome their fear, and things will change. Not only that, but women will follow men who stand up for what they believe in, if they do it resolutely and with patience, control, and purpose.

Lots of male bashing going on here blaming men for doing what feminists want.

The first ten years of boys lives they are controlled and educated by women. Both parents teach males not to cry, whine, or protests. No blood no foul is street basketball rules. Boys are taught by women that they are supposed to take care of women and it’s in our genes to protect women and children.

Feminist controled how boys and girls learned about gender too. So, most males have been brainwashed as boys by women and males who were brought up by women from the generation before. It’s not because males are stupid, or weak, it’s because they are uneducated and believe that protecting women is good for both genders.

I am angry, as anyone else, over the way men sit back but I also so our male leaders in the Men’s Rights, father’s rights, sometimes putting down other groups of men as a group for lack of progress.

We need to find a way to get to those men who have millions to fund male groups as women have done by generious donations, or sue those who are sexist with our taxes. We don’t have time for blaming “men” for they way they were brought up. We do need to stop the next generations of boys and girls from being indoctrinated by feminists and 30 years of whining and blaming others isn’t going to make the changes happen.

Men have been conditioned by guilt and blaming men makes me want to drink a beer and turn on the tube – and tune out – praise works better – There has bee progress, not much but some.

Today in the Arab culture, about 22 countries on two continents with hundreds of millions of people:

    - Arab people honor and respect their family. They highly value friendships. Family and kin’s honor most important.
    - Patriarchal and hierarchal: Fathers/elders dominate
    - Women typically have a private area in the household separate from men
    - Age and wisdom honored

    Vs. America

    - Family important but not as central to individual
    - Honor typically not as important
    - Shame typically not as important
    - Religion varies by individual, very personal, not discussed
    - Government purpose is to protect rights of women, pets, gays, and blacks and improve their standard of living
    - Woman’s youth and beauty worshipped
    - Wealth coveted in both cultures

Excellent radio show. It is a pity so many men would rather phone in as manginas rather than actually listen to what Marc is saying.

The point about explaining the law, “men are 1 date away from losing their civil rights”, etc, and the risks involved with cavorting with drunk women….

this is why Marc’s books and his recordings should be a regular part of Men’s Studies courses which should be required in high school and college….

But unfortunately, most “gender studies” programs fall under the control of feminst administrators in the much larger and heavily financed “Women’s Studies” departments at colleges and universities across the country.

(“Reply” from the esteemed Mr. Marc) – “DadWith2Girls wrote in comment #7: “Where is the EVIDENCE of men controlling themselves?” There is no evidence in your comments, that’s for sure.”

Notice this pattern in Marc’s replies.

When he is challenged to interrogate his OWN ASSUMPTIONS, he resorts to “ad hominem” tactics.

I really don’t get the rebuffs, because all of my questions are honestly seeking to understand Marc’s perspective.

Marc wants me to invest my intelligence and MRA sensibilities in his production of his media integrity, right?

So, why continuously deflect the earnest questions?

Now I know why Lis is so frustrated.

Maybe being Marc’s “fluffer” is the debating posture he requires?
