Over the last decade or so, I have truly come to LOATHE the MSM......... for reasons such as those that you have pointed out. Anyone with any ACTUAL grasp of Cold War history knows very well that Gorbachev failed at his primary goal - prolonging the life of the failing Soviet state, as governed by the communist party. I would hate to believe that it's possible for AP's "journalists" to be so damnably ignorant of such a relatively recent period of critical American history......... ............ which leaves me with the even less savory alternative that those benighted individuals are stinking liars.
