Hey steyraug96...you must have some real great cooks in your family...as I have said in my Nobody's Absurdities, No 50...DO not let these recipies go unrecorded!

Most of the venizon I've eaten, was not exactly...tasty. BUT I did have some rattlesnake once that tasted as good as any KFC.

And yes, actually the oldest profession looks like a group of saints next to the politicians. Funny!

amfortas...thanks again for your vast knowledge on all subjects...including your run for President.

As to the taste of Venison... YUM!!!!!
better even than bison, and much more flavorful than steak, let alone hamburger...

Sad thing is, no matter how long you leave a liberal to season, they still stink, and arent' fit to eat... :-)

They also tend to be a dressed-up modification of the "oldest profession", but Kennedy is still an extreme example.

Now if we could only use the SECOND oldest profession to deal with some of the major problems this country faces...

Here's to the Guild of Saint Nikkita....
Let's clean up the Gene pool...

Some years back I visited a Falconry and spent some time with the bird handlers. They described their hawks, falcons - and several Eagles - as 'dogs with wings'. The birds answered to names and when they were 300 yards away in a tree, would come to the call of their name. I asked if any flew off never to return and they said it was very rare. The birds were used to being fed even when they could hunt for themselves. They were let out to fly free daily. They had 'lost' two birds in five years.

Virtue, last I heard, due to some really wonderful people who devoted their lives to helping the "endangered" eagle, the eagle is now making a comeback.

Read the third last paragraph from the last..."I am not against hunting." to answer your question am I against hunting.

If you are teaching a "bird" to hunt in order to reintroduce it back into the wild, hey, I'm all for it. With the animals losing lands, this will be happening more and more.

But, falconry, is a sport right now, the rich that do this OWN these animals.

In fact, it's probably more popular than we know. As far as I know, the only way these birds go back into the wild is if they just don't COME back to their trainers, which I would be all for.

I'd have to read more on the subject to find out if that's what they want the birds to do, but I from Robert said, these birds are pets for life. I'm sure they probably even bred them. Which is a good thing...but I don't know.

Virtue, I was just comparing a rich man's sport, with a poor man's sport. That was the focus of the article. (with a little teasing)

Falconry is much more "civil" than dog fighting, but there is a comparison there with the hours spent in training, and the enjoyment of watching the animals kill.

If the owners were thinking about helping the endangered speices, they would put their money in those efforts, instead of hunting parties.

Robert KennedyJr..by his own admission, enjoys the beauty of the kill. He laments that the food for his hawks will dwindle, by Haliburton drilling.

I think it's a bit more complicated than that, don't you think?

What I mean to say, is sometimes these liberals are hypocrites.

Birds of prey are endangered keeping them thus ensures their survival as a species.....using them as a hunting weapon....something they do quite naturally....does it really matter what the tool is be it Gun or hawk....are you opposed to hunting?....are you opposed to conservation?

No amfortas, you will hunt with elephants, watching from your gold plated limo...while you are drinking scotch with some Persian princess...my alien contacts have told me this through their usual way of contacting me...by telephone.

I will be the your driver, but first I must learn the fine art of hawking to protect the future "king amforatas."

Might take me awhile, I have to talk to Elvis first.

The unspeakable chasing the uneatable. 'Twas always thus. In the UK, fox hunting has been banned. They still ride around in red coats blowing horns, but it is to exercise the dogs. Exercising your dog is a British Right. (They have policemen following them around to make sure that no foxes are harmed while dogs are being taken for walkies.)

In Tasmania the Guvmunt is spending $50 million trying to eradicate foxes - and get this - there aren't any foxes in Tasmania. Yep. It's nuts. never been any here. No one has ever seen a fox in Tasmania but the guvmunt has employed a dozen Fox Eradication Officers (no troops, just Officers) to get rid of them anyway and they are laying 1080 poison everywhere because as everyone knows, foxes just love the stuff. Something to do with evolution, I think. Unseen foxes. !! They seek out poison as it gives them an evolutionary advantage. It has made them invisible. And you can't walk your dog any friggin' where without getting a fine. The fine is to pay for the fox eradication Officers' salaries.

But things are about to change. I was contacted last night by celestial beings who reside in the inner part of the Galaxy. They 'spoke' to me telepathically- as they do. Apparantly they are all-powerful and chose one from every sentient species to join them in ruling the all the worlds (limited to Milky Way places at the moment but come the merger with the Andromeda Galaxy in two billion years time the job will expand.)

I have been chosen.

Things will change.

I told you to vote Amfortas for President, but did you listen! Huh. Well, its a bit late now init.

I will have a hawk, I think. Hunt politicians.
