Reid Between The Lines

According to House Majority Leader Harry Reid, the bridge collapse in Minnesota is essentially (say it in unison as a group) — “Bush’s fault.”

“Since 9/11 we have taken our eye off the ball,” said Reid, suggesting infrastructure spending has taken a back seat to spending on the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Otherwise all those servicemen and women would have been in Minnesota shoring up bridges, where they belong.

Actually, some bridge deficiencies were reported as early as 1990. Of course you know what this means — Reid can now tie George W. Bush’s father to this tragedy as well.

Not to cause further controversy, but do you know that, in 2002, Harry Reid voted to help cause the bridge to collapse?
