Anna Nicole Smith’s Mother Had Private Investigators Spying on Larry Birkhead so She Can Find Fodder to Gain Custody

Background: I’ve previously discussed the Larry Birkhead vs. Anna Nicole Smith/Howard K. Stern/Anna’s mother/many others custody battle–to learn more, see my co-authored column Anna Nicole dispute shows system’s flaws (Chicago Sun-Times and others, 3/10/07) or click here.

The Birkhead case was an excellent example of the way mothers and their allies are able to prevent fathers from having access to their babies and playing a role in their lives. Were this not a high-profile case, Birkhead may well have ended up like the legions of fathers in my email In Box–allowed no role in the lives of the children who love them and need them. Birkhead is pictured with his little daughter Dannielynn.

I stumbled upon this the other day, and I’m know way behind on it, it’s nevertheless outrageous. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Anna Nicole Smith’s mother Virgie Arthur, who tried to steal custody of Larry Birkhead’s baby daughter Dannielynn from him after he got custody from Howard K. Smith, has private investigators spying on Larry Birkhead so she can find fodder to gain custody.

Birkhead Laughs Off Parenting Investigation

Anna Nicole Smith’s ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead is laughing off reports he’s under investigation as a deadbeat dad — because he knows he’s doing his best as a single father.

The photographer took charge of the late model’s baby girl Dannielynn in April after a lengthy paternity battle. He has since won custody of the child, pending a new legal challenge from the baby’s maternal grandmother Virgie Arthur.

In a bid to strengthen her case, Arthur — Smith’s estranged mother — has called in a team of private investigators to keep an eye on Birkhead and report back if he slips up as a dad.

But Dannielynn’s biological father isn’t worried: “They can follow me to Chuck E. Cheese’s and the toy store and the diaper store or wherever.”

Birkhead helped his cause as a single father by appearing on Fox News and CNN earlier this week with his baby girl in his arms.

Both news anchors Larry King and Greta Van Susteren commented how natural he looked as a father and how much he seemed to love his child.

If this is really true and he hasn’t hired investigators to get all the dirt he can on the mother, he’s a fool. The best defense is a good offense. If he hasn’t already, he needs to get his butt in gear and get this problem off his back. And if he can find any illegalities on the mother’s part, he should attack with whatever he finds.

If he expects to rely on the court system giving him the benefit of the doubt in any disagreement between him and the mother, he’s going to be taught a serious lesson that he isn’t going to like.

All that Larry Birkhead is showing is his inexperience. He’s has one run in with the family courts and he won. He does not understand that the only reason he won is the terrorist who run the family courts could not do what they ordinarily do. They had way to many people paying attention.
The people who run the family courts know they are corrupt and what they are doing is wrong. They also know, a rapidly growing movement is one day, very soon going force them to start behaving themselves. They will have to start respecting the rights of fathers and give fair and impartial rulings.
They know the end is in sight for their little Government Sponsored Kidnapping and Extortion Racket. Every time they screw somebody over, they create a new enemy and they have lots of them now.
I do expect it will still take years. Once the first reforms are passed into law, it will take multiple legal battles and putting some of these bastards in jail to make it clear that this little racket will not be tolerated anymore. That fathers, men and noncustodial parents will not accept being treated as second class citizens anymore.
I do believe the first reform that needs to be passed is a federal law. but putting pressure on the states will have to be done first. Women were giving the right to vote in several state way before a constitutional amendment was passed.
The aforementioned law is called the Parental Rights Enforcement And Protection Act. The UPREPA will, in simple english, outlaw the civil cause of custody for children. It won’t mandate joint physical custody and shared parenting, but in most cases the courts will have little choice , but order that. The problem will be to make the courts enforce it equally. I do believe some biased old judges will have to be removed and made an example of. Put some of the arrogant old bastards in jail and you will get the point across. I also believe that some of the people in the family courts will have to be fired. They, like the bigots of old , will never abide by the new arrangement. Some women will have to be put in jail too. they too, believe that the children are their property and they don’t have to obey it either.
Now as for Larry Birkhead somebody needs to explain to the boy just what kind of thieves, criminals and terrorist he is dealing with. He needs t obe told that no matter how innocent he thinks something is , these bastards can twist it to their ends and if the gullible public believes it, he can lose his precious daughter.

To the commentors on this post.
Birkhead need not be in total charge of his custody travails. Remember the 800 pound gorilla in the room; the $500 million sugardaddy prize Anna-Nicole prostituted herself for.The fortune will undoubtably go the Annna’s heir (Dannielynn) if the legal manuverings of J. Howard Marshall’s family are unsucessful- the US Supreme Court already ruled in Smith’s favor to honor the will. Birkhead would have power of attorney with regards to the childs investments and trusts set up for her. Birkhead will need advisors, consultants, lawyers, bankers and security staff for that much responsibility. The same would be true for Smith’s mother. Since Birhead lives in Califonia and Smith’s mother lives in Oklahoma, California’s IRS has more to gain than if the child were give to the grandmother, so it’s not surprising that the family courts will side wih him. These Birkhead stories are only good for “celebrity entertainmet” and offer nothing inspiring or revealing for average Joe-dad in a custody dispute.

And what is this “deadbeat” label the grandmother is supposedly plying to Birkhead. Who is he supposed to be paying child suppoert to? He’s got full custody. Is there another definition of what deadbeat dad means?

I’ve heard the legal pundits saying that Dannielynn most likely WON’T inherit the Marshall fortune…that the 9th Circuit Court will uphold the TX jury’s ruling…am I missing something??

Virgie has credibility issues that don’t require a private snoop to unearth, but as for Larry I will say that he may be a lot of things but I can’t imagine he’s a deadbeat dad. If you fought and fought to gain custody of a child that you saw as half a billion dollar prize, would you neglect her? While I don’t believe Dannielynn will end up being the financial windfall that Larry might think she is I do believe that she is probably a very well cared for child.
