"Studies have also shown that a college degree is worth over a million dollars in increased lifetime earnings. "

My degree probably wasn't worth what it cost to get it, so I seriously question the honesty of the people who do these studies. They are probably professors who are looking out for the interests of the schools. Education is a big business, like any other. My degree probably wasn't worth what it cost to get it. They probably averaged in all the doctors and lawyers and left out the people who get their degree and then become taxi drivers or housewives. The typical degree is probably worth a lot less.

My brother ran up 50,000 dollars in credit card debt!! The credit cards just kept coming..pre approved!!

After losing sleep over the situation for years, he filed bancruptcy and cleared his debt!! I have yet to ask him if it was all worth it!!

Excellent timely reminder to all, especially the young. The clear and easy-to-comprehend distinction between good and bad debt is awesome. Consumerism is a false god.
