NOW Sues to Stop Fatherhood Programs
Ned Holstein has an interesting post on the Fathers & Families blog about the National Organization for Women’s lawsuit against programs for fathers. In NOW takes fatherhood programs to court. What do they oppose?, Holstein writes:
“The National Organization for Women (NOW) has filed a lawsuit in federal court against fatherhood programs in Alaska, Idaho and Oregon. The objective of these programs is to provide career counseling to fathers in three tough categories: incarcerated, military and fathers with disabled children. NOW has objected because women are excluded from these programs ’solely because they are women.’
“There is an old saying that you should be careful what you wish for, since you might get it. I think NOW should think twice about trying to win this lawsuit. If they win, wouldn’t that endanger the innumerable government-funded programs that benefit only women?
“More to the point, how many proofs do we need that NOW and similar organizations oppose fathers’ involvement with their children and will use any excuse to attack programs that encourage such involvement? And here I thought they believed in gender equality–silly me.”

i believe you are spot on in your accessment c.a. it is enough to make any honest person mad.
however, maybe this “take it all” attitude also shows a weakness that comes w/ NOW not knowing defeat. giving anything ($$$), even equality to men, is auto- hammered as being woman hating. what was once a honorable judicial system has long ago lost sight of justice. judges white wash everything in civil court w/ the brush of “contempt of court”. criminal courts see females as only victims. one gender sows while the other gender reaps. no real traditional law being practiced here anymore. a chimp could dispense it better, and fairer.
there can be no justice w/o equality.

These NOW cows will be objecting to testicular and prostate cancer treatments next.
They don’t seem to object to ‘anger mangement’ programs just for men though.

No, the feminazi’s don’t worry about government funded programs for women only being targeted because they know the double standards in this country are alive and well favoring females. Only when politicians start worrying about the “male vote” will mens concerns be addressed.

ranger…good point!! I believe the only way there will be a male vote is to stem the (agit prop) of the feminists, and somehow counter the mass indoctrination that is taking place on our universities!!

The fathers/mens movement has gotten off to a slow start, but the increasing misandry and outright biase against fathers and men has backfired on the feminist.
Instead of slowing or stoping the fathers/mens movement, it has added fuel to the fire. This is why we now have programs for disadvantaged fathers and men. The feminist are not concerned that these programs are for men only, they get way more federal funding than we do. No… it is the fact that fathers and men now rate to obtain federal money . This indicates that the tide is turning. Soon men will be organized enough and powerful enough to put them and their little “failed social engineering experiment” out of business. They( the feminist) know it is coming , but like the racial bigots of old , they will resiste it with everything they have.

Like you said, feminists should be careful what they wish for. I just found this:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=480755&in_page_id=1770
“A woman falsely accused of date-raping a wealthy businessman has told for the first time how the ordeal ruined her life.
Tanya Hutchison, a 42-year-old mother of five, was cleared of sexual assault but said the nightmarish police investigation had left her permanently scarred.
“My life is in ruins, all because of a claim that was totally ridiculous and should never have been taken seriously,” she said. ”
You need to read this article. Cut and paste the whole link if it doesnt work because it “wrapped around”.

Those male-haters have never been about equality and never will be.
It still amazes me how many people get sucked into this feminist ideology and try to justify it’s existence by lying about it’s aims.
