The heaviest production is in the south by Basra, next heaviest is in the Kurdish region and there is some, but not a lot centrally near Baghad - meaning the Sunnis don't get much unless everybody shares. Debaathification is tricky with the Shiite majority government based on 30 years of abuse, even though it would be a good idea. Similar to the Nazis, you couldn't get a good job under Saddam unless you were a baathist. Its not going to be a short term fix. Most likely is that we pull out eventually, and all hell breaks loose. Whoever kills the most wins. Likely the Sunnis (the Saudis will help) will take over again. At that point they really will be pretty "ungrateful" as Conservativation said.
