As some of you have noted over the past few weeks, I have begun blogging at the Fathers & Families website. (Fathers & Families’ August 24 announcement discussing this can be seen here). In addition, I am posting some blog posts by Ned Holstein, president of Fathers & Families and one of our movement’s most capable leaders, on my blog.

I have worked with Holstein and Fathers and Families at various times over the past few years, most notably during the campaign against PBS’s anti-father documentary Breaking the Silence. Fathers and Families, the American Coalition for Fathers and Children, and I led an extensive protest campaign which resulted in 10,000 calls and/or letters to PBS, and considerable media attention. In the end, PBS, to their credit, agreed to make a new film which took a balanced and fair look at custody issues–a commitment they kept. To learn more, click here.
Fathers & Families‘ mission is to “protect the child’s right to the love and care of both parents. We seek shared parenting for the children of divorced and never-married parents with equal rights and responsibilities for fathers and mothers.”
