Have I missed something or is it true that the word “children”, the key difference between heterosexual sex and all other forms of sexual activity: masturbation, homosexual activity and bestiality, is entirely absent from this article?
This for me is the key issue and it it is where the “rights” of homosexuals become null and void. Marriage is only partly about two people loving each other.
The fact that it is vitally concerned with the future of a society must be paramount.
The attempts over the past 40 years by homosexuals to get around this point have been ludicrous.
To deny the fact a child has two parents of the opposite is unquestionable. To deny them and the sperm-donor in one case and the womb donor in athe other creates emotional, intellectual and legal chaos.
Trying to deny this undeniable fact has led to all kinds of absurd arguments such as saying that possibly same-sex parents are better, that it makes no difference what sex the parents are, twisted definitions of male and female and the specious contention that male homosexuals want marriage.
It would be interesting to trace the numbe of same-sex male homosexual marriages in Canada and Massachusetts would be interesting. I have heard of no rush to the altar for male homosexuals.
What homosexuals want is legitimacy, governmental support for a destructive way of life and for society to adopt the homosexual transient form of sexuality.

Since 1968, the driving forces in our socity have been the civil rights movement but also the utopian views of some European intellectuals.
Their problem is that while they tout revolution and change, they ignore the fact that revolution and change are not always good and successful.
Anybody ever heard of the USSR?
