As far as I know, there will not be any dietary restrictions such as forbidding the eating of pork. All of this is OK but remeber that the USSR (don't hear too much about the liberal dream state anymore, do you?) Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia have all fallen apart partly because ther was no cohesive core to hold them together. Canada and Belgium are two more countries that have either had or are having difficulties due to diversity. The United States needs to hold onto its history. That means that we need to become more vehement about our traditions. This thought sends librals into orbit because thyy equate it with slavery, lack of women's rights and the treament of Native Americans. White Americans need to throw off the guilt of slavery which has been used as a Trojan horse to introduce matters irrelevant to slavery into this country. Otherwise, the same principle of lazzes-faire should apply to the curriculum--which it shouldn't. But if there's a sizable Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, or any other flavor population in the school, then some acknowledment of their faiths can and should be granted. Of course, that doesn't mean the abrogating of the American standards like Christmas, etc. The elimination of these is nothing short of political cowardice. The root of the problem lies with a far too liberal immigration policy and the lack of moral direction about our roots, our history, and our philosphy given to children within our educational system. Neither children nor immigrants, for the most part, are taught that we are a nation built upon a belief in God as understood within the Christian-Judeo framework. They are all just pumped out and pumped in and told "We accept everything." Parents have been dhimmied into believing they have no say so in the matter, and so moral and intellectual cowardice prevails. So what will happen when the corporate body abrogates its culture and beliefs? All manner of invading and competing belief will penetrate, dilute, and corrupt. There must be a national culture and national beliefs, and they won't be all-inclusive. We aren't everything. We're American. This vital belief undergirding our existence is in grave danger of extinction. Yes, American children should be taught American culture and holidays.
