Honour is essential for a functioning, healthy human being and a functioning, healthy nation. Honour is in very short supply. The protesters were dishonourable. They express a serious deficiency in our society. Lack of honour leads to a society of bad character, one apt to act to its own detriment and destructively to other, better people. For a newspaper to dwell on faux positives in people who lack honour and enable deigration and calumny to spread without critical commentary, is not simply an expression of free speech but a sign of societal illness and corruption of character. Capt. Lund shows the restraint of an honourable man. He questions the protesters with dignity and without heaping calumny upon them in return and he defends himself, his Corps and his Nation's resolve with appropriate explanation and dignity. As an ex-military Officer, I salute a fellow man of honour. Thanks for bringing this to us Jim. As President, I will restore Character to America. Vote #1 Amfortas.
