One of the greatest offenses a political candidate can perpetrate is abuse of the internet. To a majority of younger voters and an ever-growing number from all age categories, the internet is the counter-weight to managed news, glossy retouched images, and the ever more polished brainwashing techniques that come with every election cycle; a last bastion of free speech and information against a cyclone of manipulation.
John Cramer and Erwin Sherholm found problems with the Clinton campaign postings on YouTube.com and asked whether they were just using YouTube as free ad space. If so, asks Mr. Cramer in their response video (below), “is that cool?”
The Clinton camp may not understand the question. It’s easy to get out of touch with real people when friends can produce an ad campaign hidden in a television series and staff writers derive your most heart-felt convictions from polling data.
Cramer and Sherholm tell us what caught their eye, about their internet community friendly approach to addressing the problems they saw, and their conclusions. Click to start video.
