Al Gore and Climate Panel awarded Nobel Peace prize 2007
The 2007 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded today to former U.S. Vice President Albert Arnold Gore Jr. and to a UN Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
The Nobel committee cited “for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change” as the reasons for awarding the prize.
