Facebook is just a social, interactive website. Anyone can join (for free). They have a group called "Political Philosophy" that I thought you might be interested in if you were a member. It hasn't really had much discussion going on, so I can't say it's worth joining Facebook just to join the group. On the other hand, if you ever do join Facebook, look me up again. I need more soldiers in my WereWolf Army.

Roger F. Gay,
I was not familiar with the "Facebook" so I typed it in the Google. I'm not really important ehough to be in Facebook, even though I was about 25 (in addition having BA in Government and Politics and paralegal from UMUC )years in a local club and politics but trying to fade out due to my age. But it seems to get into your blood and it's hard to get rid of-Politics.
This is what I got when I typed Roger F. Gay

BTW: Looks like Hillary has a shot at dividing the two parties into a women's party and a men's party; making the "gender gap" really, really real in the way Democrats have been talking about it.

Al and Joe were milking it to the very end to get more financial contributions. It was a very superficial argument that they couldn't believe results in Florida because they did not get the level of support from blacks that they expected; and pretty stupid that the Democrats tried to start race wars over the election results. The Democratic Party has been losing their traditional base for quite some time, especially men. There's a new book out this election season that attempts to convince us that the Democrats are only losing middle-class white men - preserving the stereotypes of Democrat and Repub. voters. I bought it just to see what the Democratic Party talking points are going to be - but so far, I just can't get myself motivated to read it. Interesting to note though that the "gender gap" that's been so heavily talked about over the past couple decades has been more about Republicans getting more male votes than Democrats getting more female votes (at least in the white people table in the beginning of the book).

A local political club, eh? Are you on Facebook?

Roger F. Gay
Your article "American Political Primer for Europeans" should also be read by Americans, lest they forget the controversy surrounding the 2000 presidential elections
I at the time belonged to a local poitical club (I've since dropped out) and news crew from European station came to interview people. Apparently there was expectations that if the controvery was not resolved, Civil War II may follow, not between the North and the South, but between Republicans and Democrats. Maybe the analogy is somewhat a hyperbola, but similar impression seemed to exist.
Everything ended peacefully with some bitternes lingering. Democratic VP nominee Joe Lieberman said on TV that his mother had said "You won the the election, but lost the presidency""
