Many have asked this in Shattered Men and many have asked other difficult questions many Christian sites would delete. I am not afraid of difficult questions as long as they are honest questions. As a pastor I believe many of those who say there is no God are doing so because their "god" did not answer their prayers the way they wanted Him to. Too many of our TV ministries are teaching "prosperity Christianity" and there is no such thing. God never promised me I would never have another problem. In fact, since I have really made Jesus my LORD, I have had more problems but I know...oh I know HE is here. Shattered Men is blasted by Christian ministries because we do focus on abused MEN. We are not well liked by secular sources because we believe the only way to have a good relationship with other people is to have a good relationship with God. This places us right in "no-man's land" To those who asked why GOD did not answer their prayers, I often ask, do we need a genie...or do we need a saviour. Just as I will not give all the kids in my neighborhood all the things they ask for, God does not give those who do not belong to HIM all they ask for either..but HE will adopt them into His family and give them what they NEED. Just as I will not give my disobedient children the things they want, GOD will not do it for us. I have however found just as my own children found out...the more we do things that pleases our "Father" the more "rewards" they will get. Jesus told everyone that if we seek Him...we will find Him. To those who deny there is a God...I suggest to try seeking HIM! Oh...that song...God is watching us from a distance...that is hog wash.
