I’m reminded of the Bissel “mystery spot” commercial where a woman dressed in a 19th century style garb wonders aloud about the strange “mystery” spot that nobody takes credit for including the husband, son, or dog.
The woman then uses the Bissel spot cleaner to remove the stain.
A few observations: The commercial portrays everyone else as pigs but at the same time, reinforces the expectation that cleaning is _woman’s_ work thereby making it difficult for career women to convince men that they aren’t be demasculated by accepting their “fair share.”
Next, my wife loved the commercial and thought it was funny and wanted to buy the thing. I told her it’s a cheesy “as seen on TV” product/toy and doesn’t work.
