Nothing new about any of this.

Chinese people are great, but the Chinese commie government needs to go!

A Free China would be a wonderful asset to the world.

There will come a day that China will eat all our lunches big time.

The way things are going. We could all be kneeling on a rug and praying to Allah in 50 years too. Or speaking Spanish and driving around in a pink junker.

In a communist society the government is the God of the people. The government is worshiped, praised, glorified, and celebrated. The government is infallible and cannot be questioned or rebelled against. Doing so could quite possibly end your life. There exists no economic/political system more repressive than a socialist communist state.

China is not a threat currently, however, fifty years from now we may all be speaking Chinese and paying homage to the government.

I think China's rulers know full well that people with Religion have some funny ideas. Given there population the last thing they need is Muslim,Christian,Jewish or Buddist problems. They already have some of that in Tibet. Can you immagine a country of that size being Muslim ? China is rich with culture and history and they really don't need any cults to mess things up. Leave the cool aid drinkers in the middle east.

This is a serious matter, but this line made me laugh:

*The attack on Liang isn't the only incident in which Chinese officials are spreading their particular brand of Christmas cheer.*

What's sad is that most of the Chinese public probably believes the rape story, just as the American public believes everything it's fed by government lawyers.
