No, Means and his compatriots are not an agency or a branch of the Oglala Sioux, but that holds no significance to the LAKOTA independence movement. You should learn the difference between a Lakota and and Oglala Sioux before you write a journalistic article about them. Russell Means is Lakota and as such has a right to represent Lakota. Keep in mind that the Lakota withdrawal is based on the failure of the US government to honor the treaties that established the agencies.
