Yes, the left doesn't tolerate any opinion but their own. We now have a huge population experienced in internet discussion who have learned that the nasty screamers are just people who don't have a reasonable argument to present. In Benen's response, he tries desperately to play in the same league as the adults, but you can’t help but see that he’s struggling to use an amusement defense as a tactic; incapable of responding with any sincerity. (Oh what a tangled web …) This isn’t the first time I’ve seen a “duh” defense from the left either. If he’s not capable of understanding the arguments, maybe he should get out of the public discussion.
