Why on earth should I be expected to ‘respect’ an arse bandit or a vibrator virtuoso? It is their business of course and nothing to do with me, so why the need to gratuitously ‘respect’ them? Let them Earn respect like everyone else has to.

Of course there are folk with even less tolerance than I have, who do react quite strongly when faced with f*ckweasels like Drexler. And they don’t have the grasp on the measured retort that you have. Its a plural world and if Ms Drexler can only find comfort in arguing with the seedier chaps, the terse and unimaginative wordsmiths, and chooses to imagine them as her only opposition, so be it.

We have you, Glenn, to take the brunt and deploy a battalion of patience and reason and calmness. And I for one appreciate it. I also appreciate the lessons of Lenins’ later work, if not the people he chose to share it with.
