In November of 2006 Dr. Sinclair of Harvard studies obese mice. He gave one group biotivia transmax resveratrol extract, a compound found in red wine, and the other a placebo. The group receiving resveratrol lived 31% longer and did not contract the normal diseases of aging such as diabetes, tumors, and cardiac diseases. This study has huge implications for the treatment of obesity in humans and for lowering the social and health care cost of obesity. Resveratrol supplementation is inexpensive and free of adverse effects.
