I have successfully predicted the outcome of every presidential election since 1960.

And my record is still intact. I predicted Barack Obama's victory on June 27th.

David said: For Democrats, this election is modeled on "American Idol". For Republicans, it is modeled on nothing of great consequence.

--- Great line! Can I use that?

Ditto. I have said the same for years too. Republicans have been losing elections since 1998 (the post-Gringrich era) because (despite having had control of congress) they gave committee chairs to Democrats to handle social issues. They thought feminists would vote for them if they let Democrat feminists run the place. What they did was to more greatly disaffect their constituency, and of course, feminists will not vote for Republicans under any circumstances.

Wrapping Obama in the cloak of JFK is ridiculous. But its great salesmanship. Democrats hope to trick voters who yearn for the days prior to "the personal is the political" when it was possible to market president as a veiled prophet surrounded by mystique and of unquestionable stature. What a way to sell a former coke head who is owned by the Chicago feminists.

Democrats have another marketing ploy they are using: they borrowed a very old theme from Andrew Jackson: "manifest destiny". Rather than directly saying that becoming president is an entitlement for a black or a woman, they are saying that it must happen so it might as well happen now.

For Democrats, this election is modeled on "American Idol". For Republicans, it is modeled on nothing of great consequence. There is no candidate on the slate worthy of the presidency. America is in for a very rough decade.
