Global Whining Chilled

2008-02-23

The lamestream media told you:

Violent snowstorms are blanketing the northeast again and have been blamed for at least 15 deaths. This follows snow and ice storms that have crippled the Midwest, the Pacific northwest, northern states and even the usually warm south, with power lost for hundreds of thousands, people trapped in their homes and roads impassable for days.

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:

For reasons that remain unclear, global whining has not been blamed for the unusually ferocious cold weather lasting quite late in the season. In other news, the hurricane season ended months ago (Nov. 30 is the official end date) with no news coverage of the missing but gleefully anticipated global-whining-related destruction and devastation. Experts had predicted unprecedented activity. In contrast, the 2006 season, also predicted to be massive, ended without a single hurricane touching U.S. shores, according to usually reliable sources at CNN.

It is Summer down under. February is usually really balmy. There have been temperatures very nicely around 25 for weeks here in Van Diemen’s Land.

    It snowed yesterday!

In chicago I dont believe we have gotten as much snow as I recall getting 20 years ago as a kid, so I do wonder about golabal warming, it may be legit. FL, GA, NV plus others have major water problems. But form what I understand the drought that was in the midwest NE for many years is over. Lake Superior water level is down to an all time low. And the weather man in chicago says this is the 9th heaviest snow season in chicago in history.

So in conclusion, I dont know, but logic dictates if you keep adding ppl onto the globe and polluting the environment, their will be shortages.

I’ll be 42 in November. I have lived in Michigan almost my whole life. This is the longest snow season, with the most snowfall I have seen since the 70′s.

I remember just totally insane rates of snowfall back when I was a child. I remember when winter meant snow on the ground (almost perpetually) from Halloween to March. We have had such unusually warm weather particularly in the early 00′s. We would have a total of (maybe) 15 days with snow on the ground, when we used to (in the 70′s) 4 months. And temperatures in the high 30′s to high 60′s (on occasion). Now (and during the 70′s) the temperatures have ranged from -15 to mid 30′s.

The weather this season is the most dramatic one year change I’ve ever seen. I remember reading a website that was detailing that the reason for global warming was that the earth has a natural cycle of warming and cooling. Per this website the earth has a 101 year cycle, and an 11 year cycle of heating and cooling. If I remember correctly this article said that both cycles were “peaking” in 2001 (or thereabouts).
After experiencing this winter season I’m inclined to believe it. If you listen to liberals they say: most scientist believe in human-caused global warming.

What they fail to understand is that a consensus or majority doesn’t make you right (scientifically at least). Galileo was imprisoned by the church because he believed the sun revolved around the earth.
Nobody (including scientists) believed the wright bro’s would get their “flying contraption” off the ground.

Right.
