If a Person Is Fat, Wasteful & Dumb, It Must Be a Man

From Tony Auth, Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist at The Philadelphia Inquirer. The cartoon is not sexist in and of itself, but the fact that women will rarely be portrayed this way is evidence of a societal sexism which editorial cartoonists either share or accommodate.

One exception to this is the cartoonist who pens The Far Side.

Usually he freely intersperses dumb women in his comics pretty liberally. I don’t know if it’s 50/50, but it’s way way higher than any other cartoonist.

His stuff makes me laugh so damn hard.

Uncle Sam was locked in the cellar by Auntie Samantha sometime back in the 70’s. The fat-cat nephews run riot in World-Street and the neices have taken over the towns purses for shopping sprees.
