just wanted to inject some interesting scuttlebut i got in a related email today at work. it said biden plans to feign illness and bow out right after the debates.

bet you can’t guess who gets his spot?

here’s a hint. she would really rather be pres.

    what a concept.

Unable to make a case because of his own record of flip flops and to recapture the support of both the religious right and the social conservatives…mccain chose palin in order to run on her record as well as to hide his record in her shadow…Then today while listening to one of her recent speeches I clearly heard palin refer to the repub. party ticket as the palin/mccain ticket…A mere slip of a loose tongue? Or is mccain in reality just a temporary figurehead while palin is being groomed by mccain’s handlers to be the power behind the throne until he croaks sometime after the election?…

She’s obviously more qualified than Barack Obama.

DcFather, in this case the devils we don’t know might be better than the devils we do know.

I’ll take the woman who just jogged by my house and the guy who just rode by on a bicycle, as President and VP over Obama/Biden.

Well, she’s over 35, was born in the US and has been a resident of the US for 14 years – so according to the Constitution she’s qualified for the position.

Beyond that, it’s a political question, which is what elections are for determining, though we don’t elect VP’s separately so it’ll remain an open question even after Nov 4th regardless of the outcome. That it is a political question is driven home by the strong correlation between those who aren’t going to vote for her and those who think she’s unqualified – and vice versa.

With that said, The Weekly Standard had a short essay in the last week which looked at the issue a bit deeper and from what I thought was an interesting perspective relative to the question at hand: Give ‘em Hell, Sarah.

Palin qualified; yes. She stood up to corrupt Republicans and Demo0crats. She succeeded. She has the guts to confront her and our enemies. She has the brains to be a coherent speaker without a TelePrompTer. Biden is NOW’s lawyer and whoever runs Obama’s TelePrompter hasn’t explained his qualifications for Presideny.

    1. NOW is a specific program run on PBS that focuses on “current events and attitudes” – for lack of a better description

    2. PBS is way left leaning. It wouldn’t make sense for them to question Biden’s credentials, as “The One” has already selected him.

There have been some rumblings as to wether Obama could actually replace Biden (an “oops I made a mistake” moment for Obama) with Hillary Clinton, even at this stage of the game….

No she is not qualified – it will be interesting to see what comes about at the UN debate coming up. I hope some real issues are brought up.

    p.s. – read a funny article about her…

    1. Why does it say NOW at the top of that page (link)?

    2. Why are they asking about Palin only (apparently) and not Biden?

Right.

Man up.
