Such as 'he was sent by God', and 'things will change'(as though there was another possibility)and 'see, anyone can become President, even if we don't know who he is and he comes from Kenya, Alabama'. The 'money' issue you did mention, in part, but passed over the horrendous cost of it all. The need for campaign funds has reached such proportion now that the economy of a small country is being used up just in a single election. Something needs to be done about this. But you omitted a few other relevant reasons. America has come quite a long way, almost half-way in fact, by electing a man who is half-white, rather than his fully white predecessors; but he is still a man. The Woman President issue is far from over and Hilary did an awful job of winning over even other women in the quarter finals. I think that in four years time America can tackle these issues by Obama setting a new way of doing things - he can pass it through as 'change'. People will applaude. He can unite black men and white men in a way no one else has been able to do until now. He can show himself to be a True American Man and have that awful woman he is married to divorce him. She can take the dog and the kids and move them interstate, perhaps to Jokarta, Tennessee, showing her solidarity with the averagely but still underempowered American woman. The Government funds for it have already been allocated by Joe Biden so it won't need additional expenditures. Anyway, Obama will have to dig deep in his own pocket to show that he isn't a 'deadbeat'. His wages will be garnisheed. That would free him up to remarry - and this is where the really smart thinking can come in which will get him a landslide second term with a solid ex-republican vote too. He could invite Yulia Timoshenko to be his married running mate. A President married to the VP. A First Lady who has a real job. And paid for it. (At the usual 76c in the dollar that the VP gets). She will show clearly that American women will vote in the millions for a blond woman who is beautiful and has a really snazzy hairdo, and that Hilary just didn't cut it as a WOMAN. Not only that but she would bring the Ukraine as a dowry. Think of all the foreign policy problems that would solve, as well as the campaign funds issue.
