It is unfortunate that so many shareholders don&#039;t fully appreciate  their positions, and capacity to influence.   Even ONE share in a company gives you rights such as entry into shareholder meetings where you can and should be heard. 

If executives and boards won&#039;t do the right thing right, then call them out on it.  Or, mobilize other shareholders to force a change.

It was pathetic to watch directors of YAHOO! for example sit dumbly by, as their company disintegrated.
