Partner Abuse Industry Flirts with a Hateful Agenda

By Carey Roberts

Many persons think of women’s libbers as a bunch of over-zealous but basically well-intentioned souls. That’s what I used to believe. But last week news of two incidents came out that put feminism in whole different light.

First, columnist Mike Adams reported on the plight of Mark Harwood, psychology professor at Humboldt State University which is located in Birkenstock-addled northern California. Based on extensive research, Harwood informed his students that women were as likely as men to engage in partner aggression.

Harwood probably was thinking of Sahel Kazemi who murdered former NFL star quarterback Steve McNair in July as he slept. Or Real Housewives starlet Kelly Bensimon who was arrested for hitting her boyfriend.

But scientific truth apparently did not goose the gander of these gender guerillas. So the women took it upon themselves to disrupt the class, taunting the good professor as a “privileged, rich, white male.” Judge, jury, and executioner!

Then the head of the Women’s Studies program demanded Harwood be barred from ever again teaching the course. In disgust, the professor resigned his post to go elsewhere.

An isolated incident? Judge for yourself.

Because a day later columnist Trudy Shuett reported on a woman named Amanda McCormick of Praxis International who blithely told a group of feminists attending an abuse conference, “I know a lot of men who deserve to be beaten.”

And exactly what is Praxis International? Funded to the tune of $1.5 million taxpayer dollars, its website is chock-full of gender liberation cant, claiming it works to “create a clear and cooperative agenda for social change in their communities.” Isn’t that what ACORN has been claiming to do all these years?

But is it going too far to assert that feminism is a hate movement? After all, think of all the opportunities that feminism has opened up for women — and what inspiring role models Hillary and Nancy have become for our daughters!

So let’s ask the good folks at the Southern Poverty Law Center who run HateWatch. They’re the experts, they should know. On its website HateWatch says a hate movement is “an organization or individual that advocates violence against or unreasonable hostility toward those persons or organizations identified by their race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, or disability.”

Hmmm. When a person sees fit to entertain a group of domestic violence workers with the remark, “I know a lot of men who deserve to be beaten,” doesn’t that indulge in a contemptuous attitude towards members of the opposite sex? Does that give women a green light to be violent to their partners?

HateWatch further defines a hate movement as one that disseminates “historically inaccurate information with regards to these persons or organizations for the purpose of vilification.”

So have you ever noticed how these women habitually pony up “statistics” that portray men in the worst possible light? Ever wonder why these ladies never divulge the scientific basis of their ideologically-driven claims?

More alarming is how these scornful women have stampeded lawmakers to approve domestic abuse laws that gleefully trample on Constitutionally-mandated protections.

Probable-cause for arrest? Now a mere historical footnote in 22 states that have “mandatory” arrest laws for domestic violence on the books.

Equal treatment under the law? Not in 24 states that have “primary aggressor” laws, code language for “haul away the man” no matter what the evidence may say.

Due process? Not part of my living, breathing Constitution.

Innocent until proven guilty? Don’t be absurd, we have an epidemic of partner abuse that must come to a stop!

Each year, over one million Americans are hit with a trivial or false accusation of domestic violence. These persons are plunged into an Alice-in-Wonderland justice system that spurns reason and fairness. Railroaded by hearsay and circumstantial evidence, a false charge stigmatizes a man as an abuser, drains his assets, and can break up his family.

Fortunately, persons are beginning to wake up to the hellish biases that lard our partner abuse system. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and a number of groups have banded together to reform the system. The month’s theme is “Restore Civil Rights to the Violence Against Women Act.”

Driven by a destructive gender ideology, our domestic violence laws now represent the most breath-taking roll-back in Constitutionally-protected rights since the era of Jim Crow.

Great job Carey. This is a most incisive and important commentary as we prepare for another Domestic Abuse Awareness Month in which we demonstrate again the massive cultural ignorance and denial about the realities of the problem.

Thank you for your continued work on behalf of social education and justice in a world that sorely needs it.

    Interesting read, Carey.

Unfortunately, unlike you, I’ve viewed most of the so-called feminist crowd as being misandrists- men haters based on what they say and how they say it.

All it takes is reading some of the screeds they post online and publish elsewhere to realize this. Worse, they show the classic and characteristic signs of being Borderline Personality Disordered or BPD. Facts follow feelings with BPD people- and this is a consistent characteristic of the illness in question. What this means is they have strong feelings, largely in terms of black or white type thinking, and they will not be moved from their position no matter how wrong it actually is based upon facts. If they feel the sky is green, then to them it IS green, they will see it as green and no amount of scientific proof to the contrary will sway them until their feelings change on the subject. They will adjust even memories recalled to fit the feelings. Typically the feelings are vastly out of proportion to the situation and so the “thinking” they espouse is also often out there. As often as not, they will “hide” much of these goings on in their head on a public persona, so it can oftentimes be difficult to know you’re dealing with someone afflicted by this corrosive mental illness until you get married, become their friend, etc. So far, I’ve seen nothing at all in terms of facts to lead me to believe that many of that crowd we’re talking about are anything other than BPDs. What is more interesting is that much of the “domestic violence” situation (I am not saying there isn’t a problem here- but it’s not the problem people have been led to believe it was…) is precipitated by a mix of Antisocial Personality Disordered (ASPD), Narcissistic Personality Disordered (NPD), and BPD people, with the ASPD or BPD starting the conflict. A background: The core behavioral description that can be used as a guide to behaviors on ASPD, NPD, and BPD people goes likes this:

    ASPD : Don’t dominate me.
    NPD: Dig me.
    BPD: Don’t abandon me.

If you run afoul of one of these on the personality disordered person, they can actually turn violent. (Much less likely with an NPD, but it can happen) Typically, the ASPD’s button or the BPD’s button is pushed once too many times and off they go over the edge. BPD’s have been known to do things like taking 10 pound bags of ice out of a deep freeze and beating their husband nearly to death with it- because she thought the husband was “leaving her”.

The problem of domestic violence is not of abusing men. The problem of domestic violence is largely due to a pervasive amount of undiagnosed/untreated mental illness that reaches as much as 1 in 5 of the population if you add up the current rough figures for the three forms of personality disorder I mention. Listening to the feminists (who appear to be the most outspoken of the roughly 6% of the population now estimated to have BPD…) isn’t going to fix the problem- but it’s getting done because they’re the most outspoken. BPD’s will be that way and be convincing blamers and accusers because of the earnestness of their pleadings.

I found the article interesting and well written. I just wanted to note one thing.

    You mention the following:
“So have you ever noticed how these women habitually pony up “statistics” that portray men in the worst possible light? Ever wonder why these ladies never divulge the scientific basis of their ideologically-driven claims?”

    And then the following:
“Each year, over one million Americans are hit with a trivial or false accusation of domestic violence.”

If we want to affect change, I think it is important not to make the same mistakes. In this case, you may want to cite where you found the number “over one million”.

As an advocate for male rights myself, in an institution that is very anti-male, the phrase I use over and over again is, “It is impossible to teach equality with discrimination.” This applies to the gender feminist tendency (using Hoff Sommer’s terminology) to use counter discrimination means, many of which you discussed in this article, to try to achieve equality. This method will never work at teaching discriminatory males the error of their ways.

In the end, there are sexist and discriminatory people of both genders. In my opinion, the gender feminist agenda has resulted in the social acceptance of discrimination against men. And this really doesn’t help.

That is an interesting site and an interesting read. I don’t see how it relates to my suggestion that the author of this article include a citation with his own statistic when he is also asking for others to cite their own work.

As a friend of mine pointed out to me today, there are enough false numbers in the media now that it is easy to cite somewhere of where the number comes from. In my view, that is not a correct citation method for journalism or any other form of writing. Correct citation must include the reference to the original source of the information. If this is unavailable, then the citation is invalid.

    @ Frank Earl

Very interesting. BPD women tend to feed off of drama and conflict from my experience. Not only are they emotional, it appears they are almost addicted to their emotions, both good and bad. If there is no drama and conflict in their lives, they find it or create it. If women who have BPD in the feminist movement make up a majority of the most radical and hateful ones, that would make a lot of sense. A lot of sense. I’ve always joked about BPD as meaning “Just kinda crazy.” Ever wonder what happens to all the drama queens in high school? Maybe they grow up into radical feminist.

    Carey,

    Well done.

Feminism: a hate movement, to the “T”! Always has been; always will be. The name alone leaves no other conclusion.

As for feminists, one doesn’t hate a rabid dog, and can even have some sympathy for it, but one must take decisive action when confronted by the threat of rabies.

Like Atticus Finch, men had better be ready and willing to figuratively get up off the porch, focus on the problem, and decisively take care of business.

If only we can wake up in time …

    Thanks for the alarm bells!

” I don’t see how it relates to my suggestion that the author of this article include a citation with his own statistic when he is also asking for others to cite their own work.”

Well, I take your point, but I think that Carey Roberts as just lumped together all the accusation data that has plopped into his head over the years and quoted a round figure of just over a million frivolous accusations per year – which feels about right to me.

My point was that all the official figures are phony anyway.

I mean, Does it really make any difference whether it is 50,000 or 500,000, or 5 million false accusations every year?

“Correct citation must include the reference to the original source of the information.”

Carey Roberts is just giving us his expert opinion on the basis of many years experience. He is not writing a research paper for an academic journal.

But you will like this Ignatius …

    http://www.harrysnews.com/esConcealmentandDistortion.htm

Whatever the true figures, we know that many THOUSANDS of men are being treated appallingly EVERY YEAR by the justice system when it comes to allegations of ‘abuse’.

  9. 9
    Ignatius Loyola Says:

    @Harry

That is a very disturbing and interesting link. But not surprising, since I am relatively well versed on the topic.

But – whatever the true figures, only the true figures should be written. Not “thousands”, not “more than a million”. This isn’t an academic paper, it is journalism. Journalism should have the same standards for citations, because word of mouth isn’t truth and only belongs in the tabloids. As intelligent people working for the end of discrimination against both genders, we should not fall victim to the same tactics that we complain about.

I assume you are the same Harry as in “harrysnews”. I like your site, and I support both this site and the other one. I am glad we have devoted journalists working on these topics. But I still stand by my convictions.

I came across a site of a female who very openly hates any male who is willing to speak up about men’s issues.

***The sole purpose of this blog is to ridicule and trash the deviants known as mens rights activists. Or, as the ones among them that have had children call themselves, fathers’ rights activists.****
    http://mrashavecooties.blogspot.com/?zx=7e011f8e6f5b6276

Normally I would ignore idiot ramblings like this ..but..

I noticed she had a few friends so I thought I would check out what sort of people would associate with a female like this.
And low and behold I find a 57 year old professional …….

Crime victim advocate with 16 years of experience both in the non -profit and legal sectors. NACP Credentialed Advanced Advocate #N78-877-3724. Domestic Violence Intervention Specialist & Sexual Assault Intervention Specialist I am currently a county-wide advocate housed in the Sheriff’s Department, though not a police employee. Keeps everyone honest and me from selling out.
    http://advocatetrainings.blogspot.com/

    …………..

Birds of a feather flock together one would think but then the professional is an advocate trainer.

The female with the hate must be her student.

***I am a Radical Feminist, and I wouldn’t denounce the philosophy of my Feminist Mothers, even under the threat of death. Without the women who devoted their lives to my freedom before I was born, I would be a slave. I’d rather die than exist in a world that never knew them, and it is my love for them that drives me to do my part in finishing what they started. This is all I can tell you about myself without becoming vulnerable to icky MRAs that want to stalk me. As you already know, MRA’s have cooties, and I don’t want to catch any by letting them get too close. It should also be known that I don’t hate men, even though MRAs lie and say all feminists do. I hate MRAs, and they aren’t really even human, thus they can’t be called men. Big difference. ****

She e-mailed me asking that I forward her e-mail onto all single mothers saying men are BAD. I told her to take her man hate somewhere else and that our group consists of single fathers too and that if she is going to provide dirt on everyone she should include women. (in a few less words)

Just type in a man’s name and you can find out everything about him.

I would like to point out that this is in a very corrupt county in California. http://www.stoptyranny.net documents the problems we’ve had trying to get a kidnapped by perjury and aided by a corrupt family court judge back from a mother who tried to kill him repeatedly. This has been going on for over 5 years and now the child is AGAIN homeless, and the mother is again back on WELFARE.
The child can’t write his name and he is the same age as my daughter who reads 500 wpm and types 65 wpm. The child might not have faired that well as he is more dyslexic then my daughter but there is NO excuse for the educational abuse this child has suffered while kidnapped by perjury of an abusive mother in Sonoma with the help of the corrupt Judge.

    Jon C Says:

Excellent article, well written – the reason why the law is one-sided (and is drafted in a way that is susceptible for abuse and misuse) is because the media, education system and politics are hijacked by these extremists called feminists – they haven’t contributed anything to the society but have brought schisms and misery into ever sphere of life by playing the gender card – just for the sake of fulfilling their personal selfish and greedy desires to covet everything and their unbridled passion for power and domination. They don’t really care for other human beings, don’t have any sense of responsibility. Their actions have brought a lot of damage to male-female relations and difficulties for many people.
