University of Illinois Professor Fired For Standing By Catholic Teaching on Homesexuality

Calling it hate speech, the University of Illinois has fired a Catholic professor hired to teach an introductory course on Catholicism and Modern Catholic Thought for responding to a student question about why homosexuality is immoral under Natural Law.

The professor, Ken Howell answered in his email: “Natural Law says that Morality must be a response to Reality. In other words sexual acts are only appropriate for people who are complimentary, not the same.”

A great answer, consistent with Catholic thought, common sense, and not out of bounds with the job he was commissioned to teach — but this is hate speech and he’s out of a job?

We haven’t heard any response from the Great Socialist from Illinois who took an oath to sustain the United States Constitution, but we can guess based on his anti-DOMA behavior this week that he supports this crushing assault on freedom of religion, freedom of speech, the traditional family, and the Judeo-Christian ethic.

You see, rather than uphold religious freedom and freedom of speech under the Heaven inspired United States Constitution, what really matters is that Catholic Thought, Baptist Thought, LDS Thought, Moral Thought, is nowadays whatever the God’s of the Socialist State and the Socialist State University’s High Priests say it is. That way the only one’s who are left to feel guilty for committing sin, and are punished by the state for those sins, are the girls and boys, men and women, teachers, professors and administrators, who are doing their best to live the moral godly life.

Makes sense, right? And folks wonder why the Tea Party movement erupted and is growing from coast to coast. Here’s my prediction: It’s only just begun.

…With all the real hate speech that goes on… that is posh and sexy.

And these wild people with their ideology make hate speech against those with reserves calling them hateful…

What a pretentious cunning they manifest.

Feminists work the exact same way.

He was hired to instruct in ” Catholicism and Modern Catholic Thought” and was fired for doing exactly that. I guess he wasn’t told that above all else he would be expected to adhere to politically correct policies; in other words, ‘newspeak’. … or perhaps he was told and he was fired for failing to abide by state-mandated propaganda.

    - gay is natural, fatherhood is demonized, feminism is ideal, socialism is law, black is white, up is down, Catholic is bad. What do these things have in common? – all supported by liberal secular socialist swines.

When will this country wake up? Time to put out the trash…

And then you have a Black Panther talking about killing crackers, and their children, and nobody says a damn thing. This planet is going insane.

Once, the universities were places where IDEAS reigned supreme. Opposing views could clash against each other. Concepts could be vetted. The grand objective was to gain understanding.

Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Today, the universities are bastions of political correctness. Any speech that challenges the left’s ideology is censored. There is no true intellectual freedom.

Once, the universities were The People’s centers of knowledge. Today, they are the left’s centers of indoctrination.

If this continues, the universities’ very credibility will be destroyed. Without credibility, there’s no validity. More and more, the intelligentsia looks to the think tanks for objective study, not the universities. An example of such a think tank would be The Cato Institute. I predict a day, soon forthcoming, when the universities will be largely irrelevant, outside of “pure disciplines” such as mathematics and hard science.

Conservative principles are an important element of public opinion. In a legitimate university, ALL perspectives are accommodated. This includes critique of socialism, feminism, and homosexuality.

Google “Journalists and the Pedophile smokescreen” to read an article by Dr Trayce Hansen, a female researcher.

She says that it is estimated that between 25% and 50% of Roman Catholic priests are homosexual, yet the stance of the church is anti-homosexual. Go figure. I have.

Very few of these priests are openly-declared gays, so what is their game? – Is it so that they can go on using sin, especially sexual sin, to control their church members as if they, the priests, were heterosexual while being predatory homosexuals?

That’s what it looks like to me.

This definitely seems to me to be the case in the media as well and may well be the case in government, especially in the UK, where closet gays are probably employed in numbers way beyond the proportion of gays in the population.

Being gay is no longer a crime, so why are most of them still in the closet?

I say that it is in order to be able to have political influence without having that influence seriously called into question by their sexuality. This media and educational-institutional ban on criticising homosexuality is clearly this influence in action.

Every ideology tries everything it can to protect itself from intelligent criticism because none of the ideologies can bear much scrutiny and their members are usually lacking in intelligence.
