Windbags. Hypocrites. Showmen. Opportunists of the first order. They are there in the UN. Daily they stage their slight-of-mouth sideshows. Media gives them plenty of play.

With that as a present disgraceful given, the US should quickly mothball the worn UN bag and “get on with it” regarding Iraq.

Patience? Yes. The President has been awesomely patient. His staff likewise. But have UN personages, for example those on the Human Rights Commission — now hammered by none other than Libya’s pounder Gadhafi — honored the US leadership for its patience, truth telling, and mannerly overtures for UN input?

Rarely. When so, opportunistically. Opportunistically!

Instead, the UN, basically having mushroomed into a collage of thugs in svelte threads, thumbs its nose at the US, criticizing it at every convenient turn, demanding up-front accountability from US while unabashedly lowering standards when sizing up thugs’ ethics.

The traditional classroom UN pictures for US elementary school children is not the real, live UN — and those over sixth grade education know it. To continue with the elementary grade naïve assumption that a Manhattan-based sleek structure houses honorable delegates is putting the US at an extremely vulnerable disadvantage.

So on with it — particularly when it comes to the Hussein Thug Club, Chief being one of the crassest liars of all time, buoyed up by fellow liars in too many places. On with seeing through the ousting of Hussein, hopefully thereby giving the pointed message to like charlatans that their countenances will no longer be tolerated in polite company.

With that, here’s one for blunt heads-up when it comes to present-tense stark realism: Paul Wolfowitz, US Deputy Defense Secretary, stated that “we know from multiple sources that Saddam has ordered any scientist who cooperates during interviews will be killed.”

Any scientist! Cooperates! Killed!

In other words, Hans Blix and Company, when dialoging with professionals in the scientific know, have wasted their time and energy. (Like we didn’t know that? Dah!) Of course there are secret holding points where secret blood-letting materials are stored — and the Iraqi scientific community that matters politically knows where those materials are and what’s up regarding quantity, power and all other pertinent data concerning the Hussein murder field.

Killed!

That says it all, doesn’t it? US via UN is dealing with a national leader who will murder his own scientists. Why? Because they have secret information. They have damning data. They have detail that UN inspectors have been turning over every leaf and branch for but cannot discover.

Killed!

All the while smiling Hussein chuckles for his own mug shot camera lenses. He’s surrounded in photo shoot by his own henchmen who, if tweaking their noses in the wrong direction, would find their own bods in Chief’s murder field.

Killed!

The demeaning of the professional class within an entire country. If the matter dealt with education, teachers would be murdered. If it dealt with legalities, lawyers would be killed. If it dealt with neighborhoods, social workers would be slaughtered.

Killed!

With that, President Bush is supposed to wait, linger, deliberate, dialogue, listen up for additional real this-and-that? The US is respectfully to sit at the board room table in hopes of coming upon something brimming with truth?

Killed! Iraqi scientists who may say something amiss will not be at the breakfast table come dawn’s early light.

Killed!

With that alone, can any reasonable person conclude that UN inspectors will ever come upon anything reliable — the “smoking gun”? (How a repeated cliché subtly can rule minds unreasonably!)

Yet the mockup dogs on day in and day out. Why? Because the US has dialogued with the UN to see through the resolution. Because an honorable President has gone the extra mile and one hundredth mile to impress upon the world’s sane citizenry his patient efforts in being fair and thorough.

Yet ethical individuals know full well that a liar is a liar still. And a murderer is a murdered more so. One cannot therefore expect to derive from a liar any truth regarding anything worthy. No truth at all. Charades abounding, that’s all. Deceit to the max. Liars par excellence know nothing but their own low brow trade. Therefore, truth tellers dialoguing with liars-to-the-nth never ever come upon like verbal track. Liars lay their own tracks — far afield from truth tellers.

Consequently, the only way for truth teller to proceed with crucial deliberations is to put the devil behind him and go for it. Words won’t count. Actions will.
