Extreme Common Sense

By Brad Snyder

Compelled by the excessive use of “extreme” by Democrats over the past several weeks, I find myself predisposed to spotlight extremity where ever it can be identified. A word of warning to readers of this, my latest extreme right wing editorial piece: In this column, I intend on using the word “extreme”…a lot. You might say I intend on using the word “extreme”, to an extreme. If my extremism offends you in anyway, I offer my sincere apology that you are so easily offended. However, I will not resign my current position of being extremely right in most everything I say and do.

I confess that on occasions I've made errors in judgment. Therefore, I cannot be accused of being extremely arrogant; only just a little. But, that I am right 99.624% of the time makes me extremely right, compared to Newsweek Reporter, Michael Isikoff who got it wrong, and people died. Did his employer even write the guy up because of his mistakes, or is Communist misinformation rewarded in the USSA?

Just because one disagrees with an ideology or action, doesn't make that opinion extreme. The Democratic party’s use of the word is blatantly flawed when it describes a judge who might be against abortion. Their logic that because one is Pro-Life they couldn't possibly be impartial doesn't stand to reason. Are they willing to concede if one is Pro-Choice this person couldn't be impartial as well? Democrats are wasting our time with this foolishness. It’s their behavior that’s in question. They are losing elections and panicking. They are trying to survive by living the policy, “extreme situations require extreme actions”. Everything they disagree with is now extreme. All Conservatives are extreme. All Christians are extreme. There is nobody more guilty of this than Ted Kennedy.

Since Ted Kennedy killed a woman, once upon a time, does that make him an extreme killer, or just a bit of a killer? Either way, nobody can deny the fact that Ted Kennedy , like Ted Bundy is a killer. I admit that my comparison of the two Teds is extreme. On one hand, Ted Bundy, before he was executed became a “born again Christian”. The day the state of Florida served Mr. Bundy his plate of justice, he walked with Jesus, on streets of gold.

Ted Kennedy, for his crime, justice has not been served. He claims to be a devout Catholic, but not a “born again Christian”. One has to wonder if Kennedy were to be executed for his crime, would he be walking on streets of gold or wading in the lake of fire? All of the Kennedy riches will not save Humpty Dumpty in the after life. Justice will be served later, rather than sooner. I wouldn't be so extreme in my judgment, but Ted has the reputation of being extremely mean spirited and judgmental himself. Ted’s older brother Robert had something interesting to add to this discussion: “I have maintained and extreme level of anger and solitude over periods of my life…And in doing so I've developed into a devil…SO in order to know me is to accept an angelic demon.” I believe some of that demonic vitriol has possessed Ted as well, no doubt.

I feel the obligation to return the favor to those who are mean spirited. They should reap what they sow. It’s called fighting fire with fire, something of which Senate and House Republicans should take note. My heroes have always been bullies to bullies. When the bad guy is inflicting terror on his victims, just merely catching the shadow of the caped hero, makes the blood drain from his face and his knees get wobbly. The evil villain meets his match. “There’s no need to fear, Dudley Do-Right’s here! “

Another murderer worthy of mentioning is Eric Rudolph, the abortion clinic bomber. I have mixed emotions pertaining to the murders he committed. Rudolph is a “killer of killers”. He, in effect, is a bully to bullies, and I am hard pressed to criticize his crime. Vigilante justice is a transgression on behalf of humanity. There’s a sense of rightness that draws us in, because the victims strike back and the hunted become hunter. I would rather disparage abortion doctors for their murders than this man’s murderous outrage and indignation caused by the blatant injustice of state sponsored infanticide. I can't approve of his bombings, but I think more of this man than the doctors, he sought to abort.

Chuck Schumer, extreme Liberal Senator from NY, on Fox News Sunday admitted that there were extremists in the Democrat party, but also snuck in that there are extremists on the right as well. I've even heard Republicans, out of their sense of fairness to Liberals say the same thing, but I’ve yet to hear who these supposed extreme Conservatives are. My guess is they might be referring to Limbaugh or perhaps some outspoken television ministers like James Dobson. But, being outspoken doesn't make one extreme. I follow what Limbaugh and Dobson say very closely, and I haven't heard a single word that I would consider extreme. If a conservative is extreme, it means he is adamant regarding his views, which is the way it should be. We should walk our talk. If you're wishy washy and think you're a conservative, your name might be John McClain, but most Conservatives know what they believe and they live it.

Since Liberals don't have any real views of their own other than what next to say to get elected, I'd be surprised to hear they actually believe half of what they say. I can see their disingenuousness written all over their faces. They’re full of crap, and they know it.

I suppose many might think me to be extreme. With some of my more radical views, they may have a point. I've always considered myself a very staunch Republican, thinking myself even more traditional than the likes of Karl Rove. Recently, I ran across a political web site that analyzes your views to determine the suitability of your political party affiliation. I was shocked to discover that I should be a Libertarian. Eak-gads! I'm farther over the edge than I thought. Somebody help me. Where are you Dudley Do-Right?

Eric Rudolph is not so bad. Those who have killed babykilling abortionists have done so to protect the innocent. People use force everyday to protect the innocent and no one has a problem with it, except when it comes to protecting unborn human beings, then they go ballistic. It's very simple, the unborn deserve the same protection as the born. Born people are protected with force quite often. Force that you would be glad if it was to protect your children against a murderer. Force that you yourself might use to protect your own children from being murdered. The unborn deserve the same protection.

You lost me when you said that you thought more of Eric Rudolph than an abortion doctor. Lets have more killers on the street setting off more bombs, then have doctors who are doing what these women want to have done are there are on their own free will. Would you have more kids who don't know who their father is who are going to wind up in prison or thug?? I am also not sure about calling McCain wishy washy either. He is about the most straight up guy there is, not just in politics.

I'm sure the family of the police officer who was blown up by Rudolf's bomb find your thoughts about as "sensible" as the rest of us. Hopefully someone in your family won't be maimed or hurt when the next wingnut is inspired to leave a homemade bomb in a public place.
