VAWA Discriminates

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Editor,

As you likley know, men are horribly underrespresented when it comes to
VAWA. In fact in the recent hearings no testimony was made relative to
VAWA's discrimination against men and how it has affected many male
victims.

In addition, it also ignores the fact that violent women can and do use
this law's protection to remove men from a household and do so under flase
pretenses, men who are likley protecting the welfare of children in the
household and therefore the law indirectly exposes children to the
violence of these women.

But the intent of my mail is to suggest that you post these sites with
warnings to men that they are desinged to fool men into voting for the
reauthorization of VAWA. I'm afraid that there are quite a few men who
will fall prey to this thinking that they are helping women victims but
not realizing that they are also voting for male victims to be denied any
help.

Hope you can mention warnings about these. They are deceptive.
