New Iranian Threat Reported in Nuclear Dispute

VOA - Iran's chief nuclear negotiator has been quoted as saying his country will use its full might to "endanger U.S. interests" if Washington puts more pressure on Tehran over its nuclear program.

An Iranian newspaper, Siyasat-e Rouz, quoted Ali Larijani, who heads Iran's Supreme National Security Council, as saying the United States must end what he called "its aggressive policies against Tehran" or face the consequences. He did not elaborate.

The United States and the European Union accuse Iran of making weapons-grade nuclear fuel, but Tehran says its nuclear program is limited to generating electricity.

The International Atomic Energy Agency passed a resolution last month requiring that Iran be reported at a future date to the U.N. Security Council for allegedly violating the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
