Chris Matthews' Meltdown on Gunny Bob Program
We received this via email this morning. What I wouldn't give for an MP3 of this performance...
Screams, Rants, And Then Hangs Up On The Gunny
In what may go down in media history as the most embarrassing, disastrous interview the veteran television news show host has ever conducted, Chris Matthews, the hyper-active, aggressive, interruption-prone host of MSNBC's "Hardball," had a core meltdown on the "Gunny Bob Show" Tuesday evening. Gunny Bob is a MND columnist.
The Gunny had asked Matthews to come on his show to discuss Matthews' recent speech at the University of Toronto in which Matthews said that America's enemy in the war on terror "is not evil -- they just have a different perspective."
The Gunny repeatedly asked Matthews if he thought terrorists are our enemy. Finally, after Matthews apparently realized that the Gunny wasn't going to allow him to dodge the question, Matthews replied that terrorists are "a sub-set of our enemy," to which Gunny Bob asked what that meant. Matthews flew into a rage and it went downhill from there.
When the Gunny told Matthews that he wasn't buying his bizarre, convoluted explanation of his controversial speech, Matthews started screaming about how awful the Bush administration is and then totally lost it by hanging up on the Gunny with considerable gusto and fury.
"I knew the guy was a hot head with serious discipline problems, but when he came out of the gate swinging and kept dodging questions and offering incomprehensible answers and obvious diversions, I knew I had a live one on the line. I was, however, quite surprised that he felt so humiliated on my show that he decided that hanging up was his best option. I expected more professional behavior from Chris, frankly," the Gunny said.
For the record, the Gunny believes our enemy in the war on terror are terrorists, who are not a sub-set of anything.

I listened to the interview on the "Gunny Bob" show. If he was interviewing me, I would have done the same thing Matthews did. Bob became very abusive and attacking. He didn't even do as suggested and check to see what Matthews actually said, before he began his warmonger attacks. Just like most of Bob's listeners, he appears to be very close minded with an opinion that most people are not worth his weight in gold. Name calling and arm-chair warriors might go for his tactics, but a thinking person has a difficult time when attacks come so easily. All I would have asked, was that he verify Matthews comments, prior to going on the war-path and being the reason Matthews hung up. Why deal with a ranter, when you don't have too???
Just my 2 cents.
Note: His actions made my news ticker.

Hey Blabbing Mike, I suppose you consider yourself to be a thinking person. Well thinking person, what were you thinking when you wrote this? "Just like most of Bob's listeners, he appears to be very close minded with an opinion that most people are not worth his weight in gold." What, oh great thinker were you trying to say, that most people are worth there weight in gold? (Little note for Blabbing Mike the great thinker, 180lbs. x 16oz. = 2880oz., 2880oz. x $440/oz. = $1,267,200) Although there are many people who are worth over one million dollars, there are far many more that aren't. Choose your words more carefully next time Einstein.
Now isn’t the time for the seditious undermining of America’s war effort by limp wristers like Matthews. We are fighting against people who cut off children’s heads while chanting to their god. Who knows what they would do to the rest of us if we gave them the chance. Lets keep taking the fight to them and kill them in their homeland before they have the chance to bring the fight back to our homeland.
Girly men need to get out of the way and let the real men of this country do what needs to be done.
That is just usual behavior for members of the Left Wing Lunatics aka the Democrats.
I have dealt with a Radio Talk Show host here in Grand Rapids Michigan that cannot argue the issue at hand so he resorts to name calling and changing the topic. His name is Tyrone Banks and he has a show on Hot Talk 640 am in west Michigan.
